We're not using the same method as water?
He looked at her weird, like he knew something. But there was also respect. Mei quickly knew she could trust this man, and he was sort of cute as well, even if she was just 8 years old. But part of her made her very wary that all this could just be a ploy, another test, another life threatening situation.
gathering her wits, she listened to all of the techniques first. In the latter, it described the feel of producing a fire techique. Focusing chakra on the gut, moulding it and then expelling it. She tried it, first with a generic handseal just to help her focus chakra. She felt her gullet warming up, heavy with chakra, in a feeling so much different than the cool and flexible water she was used to. When she tried to exhale it, a small flame came out, but she was very proud, looking at her sensei with glistening black eyes.
She quickly tried again, first launching a fireball, round and perfect, even if small and not very hot. Then she focused chakra again and create likewise small fireballs, shooting a few in a row. She was getting the hang of it, with practice she would be able to produce bigger and stronger fireballs. She then took out three shuriken and focused the same warm and energetic chakra that she felt on her gullet, as soon as they heat up, she dropped them. But at least she was able to channel her fire chakra from somewhere other than her belly. She tried again, balancing out the heat with what she could bear on her hands, launching the shuriken before it became to hot, but making sure to keep the chakra attached to them. Finally, she was able to ignite her chakra even further, setting the shuriken ablaze in mid air, even if with dim and not all that strong flames.
Would I be able to use this knowledge to set other small projectiles ablaze, like kunai or senbon, or is this limited to shuriken?
