No one is going to blame you idiot. But you have to understand, as a society, not as an individual, there is a certain level of accountability that needs to be upheld from a higher point of power. It may have happened long ago, but the circumstances from which indigenous and black people were left in, can be attributed to their current conditions. All this non sympathetic prudeness is not going to get EVERYONE where they need to be, something needs to be done to help them out, but with people like you who don't owe them shit, it'll just repeat itself, it's causality my friend, and it needs to be acknowledged.

Anti white statements are just as bad as anti black/Asian/native/etc statements.

When you say whites can't be trusted, that's racist, even if I completely understand the perspective. White people have been ****ed up throughout history, true, but it's still unfair to judge by skin color.

I understand and acknowledge white privilege, it's real, yes, institutional racism exists, and yes we should do something about it.

But! Saying racist things back isn't fixing the problem, it's supporting it. I mean, how am I supposed to feel reading this post? I've never committed a genocide, I've never hurt anyone due to their race, I've never felt any racist feelings toward anyone, and even though I'm white, I'm a very honest person, I grew up poor as dirt, and never experienced white privileges (though I know it exists), and I'm in love with a black person. (Technically mixed)

So my question is: is your intention to fight racism? Or is it to continue it?

I know this thread isn't meant to be what it is, but I'm just wondering, how did you intend someone like me to feel about this? I feel it was true in the past for the most part, and I feel it's unfair to say these things now, since in many ways, it just adds fire to the fire that is racism.

I think... Obama heart was in the right place, but do to his general unpopularity, he felt forced to be very moderate in his changes for most of his presidency.

But during this last stretch, he's significantly changed his act on presidency as is making many more actions, now that he's got a lot more supporters through his success, and especially since his biggest enemies (republicans) have been outed for their (mostly) horrible ways.

So he took things slow publicly, and is now much more active in his presidency.

Cowardly? Or necessary to make his changes? Maybe a little of both, but no one can deny he's got this country in s much better place than what it was, and even though it hasn't totally changed my life, I'd say he's done a good job.

Oh and I just felt like saying... He is not a ****ing Muslim for whoever believes that. Not that it matters in the first place, since religion doesn't determine who you are, you do that with your actions.

Maybe or maybe i expect too much and am always left with disappointment i had alot of expectations like many people i understand that he is reluctant to jump into things and cares about lives and is human and is bound to make mistakes though i think he should be much more firmer as a leader should but thats my opinion and condemn racism on any side where ever it shows thats what im looking for in this race i thought carson was the right guy but he withered away i have a few prospective people though i have yet to see much out of the dems cause im always working when they debate

Yes indeed though there will be scum out in the midst trying to disrupt it but as long as people stay strong we as a country could become much stronger which many of the usas most prominent figures like Abraham lincoln and martin luther king fought for each were stepping stones and had they lived longer things would be much different possibly better but nothing rings more truer then lincolns "a house divided against itself shall not stand"

I can't celebrate it, that's why my family just calls it a gathering. Making it into something it's not is lying to yourself, which my country is the best at. I still love it though.
