Went to London with a bunch of friends to catch the premiere of Boruto last night! It was f*cking amazing seeing it as a crowd.
Film was ultimately very rushed but had nothing I disliked in it, just a quality production all round, my only complaint is that I wish there were more of it. (Runtime) Sadly my favourite newbies (Metal Lee & Chocho) got zero lines but as a fan of Kabuto and Hanzo- i'm used to my favs not getting airtime by this point. Shame that all the Kages got 5 seconds of action (which was shown in the trailer) and that the Chunnin exams were over so quickly. 90 mins wasn't enough for this fast-paced film!
Also AN ACTUAL FIGHT BROKE OUT in the screen! Shouting and punching and everything. It was the best Naruto fight i've ever seen. Disgruntled chair guy is OP guys. Meaning we got to watch the amazing Sasuke VS Kinshiki fight twice. It's crazy because this kind of sh*t NEVER happens in England. That may have been the first loud person in a cinema ever in Britain. Like, calm down guys. It's just anime.
Ultimately the film was ace and I wish the people in cosplay as Naruto and Sasuke were the ones in the punchup instead. Then I think the audience would've been wayyyy more into it.
Boruto turned out to not actually be a brat but actually one of the most likeable characters in the series!? Like his relationship with his Dad was incredibly genuine & the dialogue for the first time in the series felt REAL.
Killer Bee's kid was my new favourite fighter & Shikadai is incredibly OP for his age. Maybe moreso than Boruto & Sarada.
(Was anybody else there last night and witness the awesome IRL naruto brawl? Also...where was the proof in the credits that Killer Bee survived? He...got solo'd, extracted, left to drown with nobody for miles AND was in another dimension. I...don't get it.)
9/10. Tad rushed and needs more Kabuto.
