Went to London with a bunch of friends to catch the premiere of Boruto last night! It was f*cking amazing seeing it as a crowd.

Film was ultimately very rushed but had nothing I disliked in it, just a quality production all round, my only complaint is that I wish there were more of it. (Runtime) Sadly my favourite newbies (Metal Lee & Chocho) got zero lines but as a fan of Kabuto and Hanzo- i'm used to my favs not getting airtime by this point. Shame that all the Kages got 5 seconds of action (which was shown in the trailer) and that the Chunnin exams were over so quickly. 90 mins wasn't enough for this fast-paced film!

Also AN ACTUAL FIGHT BROKE OUT in the screen! Shouting and punching and everything. It was the best Naruto fight i've ever seen. Disgruntled chair guy is OP guys. Meaning we got to watch the amazing Sasuke VS Kinshiki fight twice. It's crazy because this kind of sh*t NEVER happens in England. That may have been the first loud person in a cinema ever in Britain. Like, calm down guys. It's just anime.

Ultimately the film was ace and I wish the people in cosplay as Naruto and Sasuke were the ones in the punchup instead. Then I think the audience would've been wayyyy more into it.

Boruto turned out to not actually be a brat but actually one of the most likeable characters in the series!? Like his relationship with his Dad was incredibly genuine & the dialogue for the first time in the series felt REAL.
Killer Bee's kid was my new favourite fighter & Shikadai is incredibly OP for his age. Maybe moreso than Boruto & Sarada.

(Was anybody else there last night and witness the awesome IRL naruto brawl? Also...where was the proof in the credits that Killer Bee survived? He...got solo'd, extracted, left to drown with nobody for miles AND was in another dimension. I...don't get it.)

9/10. Tad rushed and needs more Kabuto.

Ironically, Lars from the tekken series who is Swedish, is heavily anime influenced and alot of people in game mistake him for a cosplayer.

Could potentially do well, ngl. Good luck getting the broadcasting license though :'(

Distributors hate small cinema chains and you have to work hard to be trusted. Hence why it's only Vue & Odeon that are showing these recent anime films. It is fantastic ngl even if I did have to travel farrrrrrrrrrrrrr, just wish they'd starting 5-6 years ago when the good films were coming out haha

what anime films can be released next? Another filler DBZ film? The awful AOT live action film? :/

all miyazaki movies, sword of the stranger and many many more that swedish people can't get their hands on unless they "download it" which is illegal! doesn't have to be NEW movies to be popular, i'm telling you!

and i'll also throw in some Star Wars marathons and Lord of the rings... it'd be cool!

i'll name it "No Bullshit Comedy or Romance Cinema"

with a slogan: "Only cool stuff"

Boruto was a brat. Not dislikeable, just a ignorantly spoilt brat.

Nope. Had a good heart when it came to Sarada & Himawari, it's completely understandable how a kid with that upbringing became the way he did. It took Naruto a little bit to find his way and it took Boruto less time to find his way.

He is a cheater nevertheless :Sparks:

I get why and obvs kick him out but Naruto was WAY too quick to strip him of his ninja title.

NARUTO STOLE AN ANCIENT RELIC to get his main technique. Theft > Cheating in an Exam

Yeah. He lacked confidence in his own abilities.

Wish there was more Sarada and Mitsuki action though. Boruto said shurikenjutsu is Sarada's specialty. Means she actually starts using her uchiha genes well. And Mitsuki's stretching thing is pretty cool.

The scene where he giggling on his bed after his dad acknowledged him sold me his character. He's a good kid & I don't blame him entirely for anything he did during the film. He's flawed & had to find his way but of course he was going to be that way w/ the upbringing he had. His selflessness for Sarada and Himawari was fantastic. The lone shadow clone to protect Sarada against the TBB again made him one of my favourite characters now I think.

Miles more mature than Naruto maybe ever was?

Well that's understandable. I feel for the most part, he was a bit of a brat. You can't help this, some of his choice of words when angry gave off that feeling. It was remisncent and a parallel to the scene where Sarada was fed up with everything, and said that her mother and Sasuke don't mean anything to her anymore, and that she was leaving.

In Boruto's case, he was fed up with Naruto ruining his sister's birthday after he warned him not to be late, and then it happened again. I say again because there's a picture of Boruto's birthday and Naruto appears to be absent. Since we've seen Naruto use shadow clones for almost everything except office work, it strikes me as odd that he wasn't there, clone or himself. He was probably away from the village, that's my guess (or was just too busy running the Village). He then said, out of anger, that Naruto was lucky to not have a Hokage parent when he was alive.

So yes, generally, he made mistakes and flaws. But like you said his pure selflessness is what made me really like his character. The small things too, like when Hinata and Himawari made their second appearance and he broke into a smile (which was noted by Mitsuki or Sarada, that he doesn't smile often like that, or at all). He helped his mother with her groceries, and then he continued to talk with Himawari about her birthday. I really like the aspect of him caring about his family first, and everyone else second. It's really reminiscent of Itachi, but way different at the same time.

When it comes to his friends, my favorite part is in the second part of the Examinations. Where he has to fight three genin at once, because they left a Genjutsu at their own flag. When Boruto is overpowered, he begins to contemplate on a few things before he cheats. It isn't "I have to cheat now omgz" -- It's, a combination of things. First and foremost. He wants to impress his father, he is cheating for his dad (let's not get into the part about Katasuke tricking him though). So when Boruto closes his eyes, he thinks back to the first part of the exam where he gave up almost instantly (as in his nature because of the laziness), but then he thinks about Sarada, he hears her voice, and then he connects it to the Chunin Exam application they all did together.

So in that sense, outside of his own problems, at the end he was thinking about Sarada, the Chunin Exams they all participated for, and her dream. She told him a few times that she wanted to become the Hokage, and she had to take part in the Chunin Exams to continue. So Boruto didn't cheat for himself, he cheated to win for them. For his team, and for Sarada specifically.

That really sold me from there on out.

Lol I couldn't care less but the credits doesn't prove anything.. He's dead.
I think for KB the credits do prove he is alive. I know for the most part they are for fan service, but when KB appeared he was pushing out water from his mouth, and the last scene we see from him is Momoshiki throwing him into the ocean.

Don't you think that's too big of a coincidence?
