A start off loan with million dollars, connections to big brands and since he inherited the company (which he almost lost because he made stupid decisions, as well as his own personal wealth) he could have failed twice and still start anew. Although his mistake big. He also went to private school and got inherited the fortune called about 200 million because of his rich father.

He didn't make his wealth. He just added more money to it.

Erm, it is gambling when you invest in a business plan. Which he did and lost a lot of money with.
