I think that it was hinted at earlier in the series; as early as Chapter 3 even. But yeah I agree with you.

That's apparently where it started but it's been buried ever since. I'd say the only time this ever came up was during the Killer Bee fight and the way he treated his team like comrades for once, all those panels Sasuke/Naruto wankers use to demerit the other where they're like "how could i catch up to him" or "oh my god hes got so strong" are actually the moments Sasuke's insecurities were on show.

Shame they don't understand their own fav enough to appreciate the coolest thing about him.

It was never hinted in Part 2 that Sasuke was envious of Naruto strength of bonds and unique courage. I would have loved to EXPERIENCE Sasukes inner struggle with his own personality. Thats why I loved him in Part 1 he had a personality and was actually COOL.


And now that Sasuke is the Dark Hokage I feel like I have the old Sasuke back. The man he was always meant to become. Adult Sasuke is cool to me for his awesome personality and being a wise master.

So is this a thread to praise Naruto? I don't get what this thread is trying to deliver. Because it just seems to be some self developed explanation with a personal opinion. Nothing that establishes anything or a resolute truth.

Sasuke was always badass and Naruto wasn't the reason for that. He had no secret vulnerability. In the scan you showed, Sasuke wasn't implying Naruto being ahead in power was his driving factor. It was simply Naruto's personality, his cooperation which Sasuke thought of as a weakness and shrugged it off. Sasuke was a badass from the start. Naruto started playing any part quite late in his life. (if that's what you are talking about)

Sasuke is a character who has remained a shadow the hedgehog cold emo wannabe stance the entire series even though so many interesting changes and development have happened to him...it sometimes seemed like the development happened AROUND him rather than to him as his expression and temperament barely changed.

Sasuke's true interesting character trait and what saved him from being a boring and bland power fantasy character for 17 year old boys like you is something that is completely overlooked.

It's this revelation and this secret vulnerability this entire time that made Sasuke a true badass and finally, at 699- cemented him as a character with depth. QUESTION IS: Why did this HUGE part of Sasuke's character come so late in the game? Literally the final few seconds of the series do we realise Sasuke isn't plain asf. Kishi why.​

Lol Sasuke was always the best characters doesn't matter quiche way he went. Hou might didn't like his character but he is the most popular Naruto character so that says enough what others think.
