Sasuke's Character was SAVED in 699 (last minute)

Sasuke is a character who has remained a shadow the hedgehog cold emo wannabe stance the entire series even though so many interesting changes and development have happened to him...it sometimes seemed like the development happened AROUND him rather than to him as his expression and temperament barely changed.

Sasuke's true interesting character trait and what saved him from being a boring and bland power fantasy character for 17 year old boys like you is something that is completely overlooked.

It's this revelation and this secret vulnerability this entire time that made Sasuke a true badass and finally, at 699- cemented him as a character with depth. QUESTION IS: Why did this HUGE part of Sasuke's character come so late in the game? Literally the final few seconds of the series do we realise Sasuke isn't plain asf. Kishi why.​

A huge part of what made Sasuke insanely cool was that vulnerable side that was only ever alluded to in the series. 699 is a crazy time to learn this huge fact.

First off, my little wood friend, all I said was that compared to the main character, who is supposed to be the most well developed character in a series, he is more interesting. Then I proceeded to say " in my opinion". I clearly wasn't trying to start anything, just saying hes more developed than the main char of the series in my eyes

Opinions differ, I always thought he was a very complex character, the fact that he never showed his vulnerable side made him all the more interesting. In Naruto's case, we knew where he stood emotionally, we understood him 100% but Sasuke was a tricky case, and that is what stood out for him as a character.

Yeah but this insecurity of his (not a bash, insecurities are what make interesting characters) has been there since the Zabuza mission. BEFORE. You think it would've been broadcast to the reader sooner considering there's been so many Sasuke-focused moments and arcs...and very few moments of Sasuke showing this closeted teamwork or desperation to not show weakness.
