What's the argument in putting a transgender in a female's prison? "Oh, because I feel like a woman"? Anyone can just put on makeup to get into one, or do you have to get rid of your penis? While for an adoptive parent, there's not really a grey area or a system to abuse. And the fact that they raised the kid, and before raising the kid, they have to sign papers and make it legal.

If it's a complete transition, I guess it can be done. But transsexuals are all so different in nature, it makes it harder to settle legally, imo. Not to mention people are supporting it only recently. I don't think seeing court rulings like these should be considered ridiculous or wrong, at least not yet.
