Youre one of the idiots who overrates him. He stalemated with Vista? Obviously you dont like to read or look at pictures. Mihawk was literally not paying attention to Vista while blocking his attacks because he was too busy thinking about Luffy and his "power".
Mihawk is the most underrated character in One piece to date. And jackasses like you arent making it any better. I cant wait for him to finally show his true power so you can shut up.

Mm, can't really say either, but I think he's mostly underrated.
Thus far he's casually caused WhiteBeard to call out his strongest
defensive member to take the hit- which someone downplayed because
a lower ranking commander took the hit, yet ignores the guy turned into diamond; aka potentially the hardest thing in OPVerse.
And had casual strikes that sliced through thick ice from a large range.
Though sadly there's not much feats to go by, so it kinda ends there.
But if you look at what's said, rather than actions, you quickly and
easily manage to see him and a Yonko were butting heads with a
clear rivalry; that he then drops after losing interest in a 1 armed man.
The same Yonko that went up against Kaido- the father of monsters,
with 1 arm, and clashed with WhiteBeard.

Mihawk is without a doubt somewhere around Yonko level.
No, but it doesn't change the fact he's a swordman.
He knows the code, and even plays by the code, was
trained by a true swordsman, and uses his signature attacks
in combination with his sword; there's a reason why everything
he cuts is sliced.
What more is needed to prove he's a swordsman?
Yall acting as if Mihawk is given a Df he's no longer a swordsman.

And this is what Flamingo told to Law before he planned on killing him.

Not to mention Diamante constantly uses his DF in battle,
yet is still acknowledged as a swordsman by the entire Arena,
and Kyros along with Flamingo.
I dunno, that's for you to decide.
Though I wouldn't consider him something like a marksman only
because it isn't something he mainly does, though you can't flat out
deny the skills he has for it.
lol, how do you even say he's not a swordsman when the majority of the
time he's using his DF he's using his sword in conjunction.
Jesus, he's a trained swordsman who actively uses a sword,
that's already enough.
XD
Strongest swordsman refers to the person who is the strongest in swordplay.
If luffy were to carry a sword and use it in every fight as an opener, and then go back to brawling later on in the fight to beat a swordsman, he would not be considered the stronger swordsman.
trolls like this should be ignored but I will bother any way
ray and roger (if his fghting style is swordsmanship but most likely he was carring the sword for the lols cause he held a pistol on his other hand as will ) lived in an entirely diffrent genartion from mihawks , i dont think mihawk was even born at that time so they are not included in the group of swordsman that mihawk is sttronger than....
there era had it`s owen WSS (if there was an official title back then ) who was stronger than any other swordsman at that age

Y u so meanie? Mihawk being born or not is irrelevant, I learned today that all there is to the equation is that he's always stronger than all the swordmen in the manga by default even if they show better feats.
As Bogard mentioned before, there are translations of that statement that say strongest 4 pirates that reside in the New World, which doesn't apply to Mihawk, who lives in Paradise.
Na. The official translation says "4 greatest pirates in the world, who live in the second half of the grand line" Them being in the new world is separated from them being the 4 strongest pirates, its simply the location which the 4 strongest reside in.
When overrated he's placed in the league of Garp, Roger, WB, Shiki...
When underrated he's assumed to be below Admiral level which is more unbelievable...
IMO he's super-strong, can go toe to toe with likes of Rayleigh, Shanks, Akainu etc... i.e. one on one.
But most of times people tend to believe that he's around a Yonko level which I disagree with, Yonko are feared because of the captains(obviously) and their monstrous crews...
If Mihawk were to go against a Yonko, he'd probably be low diffed... But if he went against just the captain, he has chance of winning it but on extremest of levels...
That doesn't actually prove he's a swordsman though, in fact I would argue it proves the opposite. Just because Doffy mentions teaching Law swordplay through his executives doesn't make him a swordsman it just means he knows how to fight with one. Doffy also says we taught you martial arts and marksmanship but Law's not a brawler type like Luffy or Garp and he's not a marksman like Usopp, he's a DF fighter like Doffy or Ace. He may use a sword but his primary attack method is his DF, to be classified as a swordsman the dominant fighting method should be through those swords imo.
Edit: And those Kaku pics don't fit your argument as they were him using his sword with Ryokushi techs not his DF, and he was a swordsman before gaining his DF. The argument was a character with a sword as a weapon who uses their DF power over their blade, Kaku does not fit that(at least not at that point in the manga)

The Kaku pics do work. It shows that despite being a martial artist, Kaku is still considered a swordsman. Rankyaku is part of the Rokushiki martial art. If you can be both a martial artist and a swordsman like Kaku, using a completely separate art and style of fighting to compliment your swordsmanship, there is absolutely no reason you can't do the same with a DF power.
Law channels his DF power and uses it with his sword. That makes him a swordsman. If someone who channels Haki slashes like Zoro and Mihawk through his sword to enhance his swordplay is still a swordsman, then Law is still a swordsman because he channels his DF power through his sword.
