Naruto is not even that great of a character. Shippuden Naruto was the biggest dissapointment in the show even a bigger dissapointment than Sakura...atleast during the timeskip she actually improved he downgraded. And then aside from that he was literally handed powerups.

I would rather have Sasuke as MC. The dude is dynamic af and his mood swings make the character so much interesting. Shiksa marlu is pretty annoying when he complains and is sort of a linear type of character. If not Sasuke then Rock Lee would be another interesting choice since he is funny af. You got to love the Drunken Arts.

He's lazy, and a complainer. Plus his low chakra levels and lack of offensive jutsu, would make fight scenes boring.

Shika is best as a support character and support shinobi. In the rear, with the gear.
