Were you a fan of Gaiden and the next Gen? [Poll]

In my opinion I feel the epilogue, Gaiden and the Boruto movie did absolutely nothing for the series.

Not that there weren't cool moments here and there but in general what can you say any of it did for the series?

Now Naruto is Kishimoto's baby and I truly have no doubt he will once again write Naruto , maybe after 10 years. DBZ Battle of the Gods anyone? I just hope he forgets Gaiden and the next gen all together and simple writes before the series stories or continues from Chapter 699.

Anyone else feel the same way? Were you a fan of Gaiden and next gen?

If Kishi continued in the future where would you like for him to continue from? Pre-series, after 699 or Next gen?

And from the next gen children i only liked mitsuki really

I did like the boruto movie although i haven't seen it yet !

Nah Gaiden was nothing more than pointless drama for Kishimoto. Well maybe not completely pointless :wesobi:

If Boruto isn't shooting to become Hokage and instead wants to be the person that protects Sarada then it kind of makes sense for the viewer to learn about how Sarada actually came to desire the hokage role

But honestly how many actually care for the new gen characters for Kishi to expand on them instead of more prominent characters?

Not really. Sasuke and Naruto had poor reasons for fighting like garbage. The children didn't do anything outstanding or likable. The villain seemed interesting but then his backstory and ideals were just shot down in one chapter when they seemed like they were gonna be built more.

It was only family drama.

Do I regret reading it though? No but I didn't like it.

I liked it and I hope they continue the series as naruto as hokage which will enevitable include the next gen. borutos dream is to support sarada as hokage and I like the idea of that

Next-gen but keep the adults away from the kids' problems. He needs to redeem his pairings (Naruto and Sasuke are horrible husbands) and make the kids more likable.

Well there were a lot of Boruto fans on NB. Also I think SP plans on expounding on the Next gen later. The new gen was basically made to keep the door open for Kishimoto to continue so regardless of its popularity the Gaiden and the new gen had purpose

I'm kinda a fan of bolt. I was hyped up for mitsuki but when i found out his dad was oro,that just killed the hype. The only good thing i liked about gaiden was what happened to taka after the war.

I would like an origin story on Kaguya or the otsutsuki clan. Or at least a story about indra & ashura.

This. Gaiden was hardly likable, it was just meh. Sasukesama still lacks a arm, Sarada is the failed heiress to the Uchiha name, it was sadness after sadness tbh. Kishimoto, Bakayaro Konayaro.

Gaiden was awesome, and so was the movie.

And yeah, I like the new generation. I really hope Kishimoto decides to continue the series with the new generation.
