I am pretty sure this just makes him feel better about himself, infact people never actually study all religions in their entirety before generalizing/criticizing. Reason being they hold a self righteous contempt against religion and being socially accepted requires them to not offend any particular denomination or faith, also you don't need to back your arguments if you generalize.

I'm just saying cause I have spent enough time trying to get people to understand or be more specific, but that will never happen. Religion is a free for all.

Where is the proof that the Christian God is the true God? They always try to make it sound "obvious" we have a creator... But not once has anyone ever tried to prove that that creator was the Christian God. There's no "proof" for that.
