Shunsui's Bankai seems to be about telling storys and making them real, with an overdose of Fear.

Presumably anyone who comes in range of his Bankai becomes a player in his story, which is why he doesn't use it with people nearby.

Sounds legit, matches his shikai, shikai is about kids games, bankai is kids storys that scare the shit out of you and make your worse nightmares come true. I like it!!

**** SON!!! That was truly epic. I manages to figure out the first part of his ability but I didn't realize there could be more levels. I am hoping there are more levels than this too because this is just too epic.

Not really, he was effected by his Shikai as well. He had to play the game just like everyone else.

Kyoraku's Bankai wasn't what I was expecting, didn't give me that badass feel (though his reitsu resonating was cool), but it's haxx as hell. 5/5 chapter Grimmjow lost? I wonder what Kubo brought him back for.

Kyorakus bankai is badass to me because it is so different and seems to be a bankai focused on attrition which makes it perfect for soloing people. My only concern with it is that I am not sure how he would manage to take out aizen with it if the third stage is based on a dual reiatsu draining principle.

His bankai is haxx for sure (no counter to it in sight), but it didn't feel badass, and though Grimmjow isn't dead it would have been nice if his battle was at least "on panel"

Well it certainly wasnt like zaraki shikai but it is badass to me for being so op lol the idea of it is also interesting. I think grimmjoww will use segunda etapa and be back.

one thing that got me thinking... what happened to the shadowy woman figure that was wrapped around shunsui when he unleashed bankai last chapter? does she has a purpose ? what's the point of showing it if it will do nothing ?

It is just an aura and I am sure that it is gonna be revealed in the next two chapters to be one of his loved ones or something similar.

i hope so, there has to be more to it.

From the looks of things it seems the AOE is tremendous, ichigo is in a completely different city and they were able to feel shunsui reiatsu and also see "some" of shunsui bankai effects. So it's safe to assume that whoever in the current city where shunsui at share the same effects and the game rules apply to them as well.

Iirc it was said during the fake karakura town "arc" that his sword was female or something like that, and that she dragged people into her games including Kyoraku, so she could be the woman

What do you mean? Nothing from Grimmjows battle was off panelled...we already saw Grimmjow get put to sleep by Nak Le Vaar.
