How important are morals to you?
Do you have a moral code?
Are those who believe in "freedom and person being able to do what they want", better to those who follow a moral code?
Why is the phrase "trying to be a hero" or phrases similar to that phrase, used for those people who don't follow the crowd and make a good moral decision.
Side questions:
- A girl is being teased around by couple of guys, she is visibly drunk. The dudes are simply taking advantage of the fact that shes drunk, and trying to get laid. Now, do you go in and stop them OR do you simply let things be since its none of your business and not your life?
- Now, if a man was bullying around some elderly folks, such as making them lift heavy objects, that people of their age shouldn't be lifting. While, himself not doing anything. Do you confront the man OR do you simply let things be , since again none of your business and not your life?
- Two men are fighting in middle of a street, one of them is getting pounded and is a mess. And there is obviously someone at fault and there is a right and wrong between those 2. There are also people recording the fight with their phones to post it on youtube or facebook. You see everyone there in a circle and see the 2 dudes fighting. Do you go in to stop them, or stand there with the crowd because again its none of your business and not you life?
- A student cusses out a teacher, for giving him a punishment, which he didn't deserve, but got into due to a misunderstanding. Is it ok for the student to cuss at the teacher?
- A racist Cop shoots down 2 innocent civilians, who were living by themselves. In couple of days, in order to take revenge against the cops (because cops are not members of society and don't come from us) 2 Cops are killed, but the 2 policemen were innocent as well and had families, and were against racism. Now is the public right to kill the cops as a revenge for the civilians that were killed? Or is it justifiable in any case?
Lets have a good discussion.
