Hate when people say that Naruto brought the peace, he didnt, the peace was brought by the war. Who united the villges was Obito and not Naruto, who was the savier was many people who save Naruto and Sasuke for them to accomplish to defeat Kaguya.
A lot of people helped in the war, even the edo kages saved the SA when Naruto couldnt, so everyone helped. Even Kakashi was the one who made the plan to defeat Kaguya and not Naruto or Sasuke. So the real hero was Kakashi. Or Minato was the one who saved Naruto 3 times and Sasuke 2. So he also is a hero. Even Sakura helped to defeat Kaguya.
So there were many of ninjas that helped in the war. But the one to united the villages was Obito, his performance to fight against all the ninjas made that posible.
The one to mantain that was all the kages, not only Naruto or Kakashi. Even Raikage wanted to have an alliance when Minato was Hokage.
So, Naruto did a very good performance, but he didnt do it all by himself, a lot of people takes credits for this.
And now, for the modern village of konohakagure i think it mast have been also a lot of people and its leador was Kakashi. Naruto now as Hokage is also a great leador, he is not stupid now, he really thinks like a Hokage, that is why Kakashi handle his position to Naruto because he was ready to be Hokage, if being a Hokage mean only power then Naruto should have been Hokages after the war and not 10 or more years after.
Naruto now is strong, intelligent, leador, and have a great group to help him in tough decisions like Shikamaru. The only Hokage that we now that had no one to help him was Minato, he could do every thing by himself, he was the leader, he was the best tactician, he was the strongest but gave his life for Naruto and Kushina and the village.
But Naruto is a great Hokage, that it why he is a Hokage. Every one knew it would happen, it was just a matter of time for him to have the knowledge, and other thing to be a hokage.
And Kakashi and Naruto are good hokages, the worst was Tsunade ahahah and maybe even Hiruzen.
