Was kakashi or Naruto a better hokage?

In narutoverse kage should be strong enough to protect village. How Kakashi can be a good leader if he even cant protect himself ?

by tht logic none of the Kages and Hokages were good enough as they couldnt protect themselves against Madara

Well all the other villages respect Naruto not kakashi it was Naruto who basically United all of them in the war and Naruto can actually protect konoha kakashi makes a great hokage as far as dealing with paperwork and stuff that's it

Kakashi can't do to many techs especially without the sharigan the lvl of opponents they face now destroys kakashi even if u give him a couple forbidden jutsus

Kakashi did not accomplish anything doing his term. He just so happens to serve as Hokage doing the industrial era. Same as Naruto.

Although, Naruto was a hero that stoped a major threat to the world again.

He can protect himself by having his anbu be there for him. A leader does not need to be the strongest one in the village. He can be a good strategist with a good intelligent mind to lead the village.

I haven't read the Kakashi hiden, but apparently it details Kakashi being hokage

Depends. We know all 5 nations started to corporate more and even put their trust into Naruto (during the war) so Konoha's advancement wouldn't be because of Kakashi's actions Solely as it would be Naruto's and the other Kages.

How long has Naruto been Hokage? Not as long as Kakashi currently that's for sure. That really isn't a fair comparison tbh. Judging by how things are going Naruto is heading towards being the best hokage in history. Even if he doesn't have to be the strongest in the village, he is and can efficiently protect Konoha if the need arises. He also seems to be adept at doing paperwork, more efficiently than Kakashi. He was also the one to unite the shinobi world and everyone respects and admires him. I'm giving this to Naruto.

Naruto can perform his administrative functions more efficiently than any Hokage because of his kage bunshin spam plus he has Shikamaru as adviser. If Naruto cannot spare a clone to hang out with his family at all even with his sheer mastery of the technique, his work load must be far larger than any other person can handle who doesn't have this advantage.

I don't think the tech boom can be attributed to any one person. The era of peace(brought about by Naruto by the way) allowed for development around the world.
