I recently came across one very plausible theory that after Zoro defeats Mihawk and Luffy becomes the Pirate King they both will go their separate ways. And might act just like Shanks and Mihawk do, it wasnt ever confirmed they were crewmates but they sure do behave like buddies and at the same time as a rival.
Zoro did tell luffy if luffy ever comes in between his dream he will kill him and he is only joining his crew for achieving his dream and not wanting to be killed by a marine.
Do you think its possible?
I am kind of not(like 95%) sure but yeah it could happen.

Yeah he has a lot of respect towards luffy but then it can happen because Zoro fulfilled his joining condition.
Im sure Zoro would never leave StrawHats since that's a family.U can't just leave ur family.

I can't see anyone leaving the SHs after Luffy becomes PK.

There is no rivalry between zoro and luffy, in fact there is no rivalry between any crewmates so nah. After luffy becomes the pirate king, the entire crew woukd be disbanded

Zoro took an oath to be Luffy's sword. Even after fulfilling his goal Zoro as well as the other SH will stick by Luffy

It was just a theory even i believe it wont happen but what if it did? I would be pretty sad seeing zoro leave luffy.
Nothing sad about it honestly, their little adventure ended and they both accomplished what they always wanted.

This how I believe the strawhats will end up

Luffy- keep being a pirate, or just simply die

Zoro- get drunk and end up being lost all the time, he would be the type of guy that no will know his whereabouts :lol

Sanji- Open a new restaurant in the sea called"shitty restaurant" while constantly runnimg from the goverment, kinda like rayleigh(the name is official btw :lol)
Usopp-either stay with luffy and do crazy shit around or simply become the world's most fearful pirate

Nami- I don't know, maybe stay with sanji or some shit

Robin-reforming a better government, I can totally see this happening, the ohara residents were always the most wise/knowledgeable

Franky- Go back to water 7 with his brothers

Brook-Stay with either zoro(always seemed like he was interested in him) or dying alongside luffy

I can see Luffy's death for some reason at the end of the series. (His lifespan has been shortened many times already. I wonder how much time he has)
Zoro the greatest swordsman dying in the final war as well and obviously renowned as the greatest swordsman.

The only time Zoro will leave the crew is when whole crew disband's. As many times as Zoro willing sacrificed himself for Luffy.

Against Kuma Zoro was willing to sacrifice his life to save Luffy which means he was willing to sacrifice his dream. And he sacrificed his pride for Luffy when he begged Mihawk to train him.

Zoro is with Luffy tell the end weather it be bitter or good.

The strawhat pirates aren't Luffy's underlings in that way. They all have a dream they want to achieve and are supporting each other through that. Obviously Luffy's dream is the one that ties them all together. Once they all achieve their dreams, they will more than likely go their own separate ways.

let me clarify basic facts
1) zoro can't even walk on his own! get losts every single time!
2) if you seen OP properly..after every single arc..zoro's dedication towards his crew improved.
3) zoro and hawkeye can't be compared like this(not talking about swordsmanship)...they both different person.
4) there will be much more even after luffy becomes PK and last war.

it true though...
luffy can't seat at one place without doing a thing...
luffy need trouble like baby need lolypop!
once war over...luffy can't stand aound like others...

Zoro became a Pirate because of Luffy, they'll achieve their dreams together and be a Pirate Crew afterwards.

Unless you're suggesting all the Mugiwara will split up after Sanji finds All Blue, Nami draws a map of the World, etc.

They'll split up, but I doubt they'll become rivals haha. They've never even sparred aside from one part in the series and it's not like them to just duke it out for no reason.

No.

When Zoro has become the strongest swordsman in the world and Luffy the Pirate King, the story is pretty much done. It's doubtful that they are going to sail till they are all 80 years old, so they would split up at some point. That's not particularly tied to only Zoro and Luffy.

Secondly Mihawk and Zoro have different personalities and their respective relationships with Shanks and Luffy are also very different. There is nothing that indicates that Mihawk was ever a member of Shank's crew, on the contrary from what we know the opposite is very likely.

Lastly that Zoro joined Luffy because at that point it seemed beneficial for his own dream only counts up to Water 7. He made that clear that he would leave if Luffy would just take Usopp back so easily. However during Thriller Bark that reality ended. In fact that whole scene with Kuma doesn't make any sense seen from the perspective of the plot. Why was it there? Oda could have easily left it out, it didn't support the plot in any kind of way, however from Zoro's perspective that scene was vital. That scene was specifically meant for Zoro's character development. On that moment he declared that there is no difference anymore in dreams between him and Luffy. Luffy's dream of becoming the Pirate King and Zoro's dream became one and the same for him. The one can not be done without the other. Zoro will see the entire journey all the way up to the end and not because of his own dream, but because of Luffy's. That became again clear when he asked Mihawk to train him. Zoro ceased being someone who joined Luffy for his own dream a long time ago.
