Like tournments? It appears to be an excuse for extra prizes to be given out.
He means like awards, like the King of the Hill and Premium Awards that you have, with actual prizes happening once in a blue moon just because the Mods feel like it at one point.Know how we have contests for stuff like fill up the bubble aot or fanfic of the month. Why don't we do a rp contest like best fight of the month. The prizes don't have to be rp related all the time but maybe once every couple of contests. What do you think?

U.U You expect me to be at that level or were you just implying that I made a mistake? Sorry for the late reply as I was busy in class...even though I saw this the moment you post it^^ಠ_ಠ
dude read the post before you make a comment
OT:
I love this idea, as SP said, it would promote more fights[1] as well as more intricate combos/formulation of strategies and application of those strategies.[2]
Oh, if that's the case. It's the Mods to decide, for my opinion, I don't understand the whole thing. I also find less eager drive to take part, for...are showing off the best battles...such things are hard to pick...He means like awards, like the King of the Hill and Premium Awards that you have, with actual prizes happening once in a blue moon just because the Mods feel like it at one point.
And not like tourneys either. Basically, each month, there would be different theme. For example, Month 1 can have a Water theme, and then basically RPers show the best battle involving water they possibly can. Month 2 can be STEALTH, and it'd be a contest to see who's battle showed the best examples of stealth and actually acting like a ninja, etc.
Each user would then submit their battles (of their own choosing) they had from the Battle Arena or Ninja World to the Submission Thread, and then it will get voted on. Winner gets the award, 1 month of premium perhaps, etc.
As for the idea, I'm down
It is a brilliant idea, i must admit, in a more active rp i'd love to see this happen. But as we all know its that time of year when mods are stretched thin with work and to add more on top of that? They barely have time to check official fights, ninja world stuff, all variants of customs, bios ect... this would just be work more for them for now.
Unless it was like FF of the month, submit the fights in a thread once a month, a week for people to vote on the best fight, the award is then handed out. But thats only if a mod would be happy to take the time to set up that thread every month.
Though it could be possible the head sensei or senior Rper could make a submission thread and post the poll for voting, then just tell Cali who won.

OT: [1]Head bounty hunting does promote more fights FYI, so I don't see that point. [2] I believe if you want to win a battle, all that should be secondhand; would you be saying that individuals aren't intricate with their combos/ strategies to win?

I think it is a great idea. Dan did a great job identifying the problem and also formulating a solution. If the rules regarding a poll were made to be like FUB, where you can't vote for yourself etc I feel like we would have a honest enough community to not abuse the privilege. It is a brilliant idea, i must admit, in a more active rp i'd love to see this happen. As Kira I'd write your name down. As a noob, I'll keep quite. As a human I'll reflect on that and hope to better my emotions. As a Member, "get to your point." As someone I want to portray; "What was your intention in quoting a matter that's been over, could it be that you feel inferior regards to me?" -No comment- "I don't know what to say, but I really did mean what I said before 'I don't understand the point of it'."Salty because this is getting support or what? :sdo:
Dem jimmies rustled cause Kumi got shot down .Salty because this is getting support or what? :sdo:

Just throwing this up too. Personally, if there was maybe 10+ entries I would look at the thread and just think "feck reading all them" so maybe putting a cap on entries, but also making it so no one person could enter two contests in a row? Though if it was going to be a month long contest I wouldn't want this too. I'd say every 2 weeks would work out for this method to be successful.
Otherwise, once again great idea Haku.
