Shanks' time to pop back up seems imminent and I was watching Bastard Executioner and it got me thinking about something. In that show they mention King Edward 1 also known as Edward LongSHANKS. here's a pic

Shanks has Red hair and Edward 1 was the king of England and Wales and Wales/Scotland/Ireland are all areas where red hair is more common. His hair looks slightly reddish but not substantially red if at all.

Do you think this has any connection to Shanks or not, Oda seems to like to use historical figures as character references.

I'm wondering if the name is connected like how Zoro is named after Francis L'Oll(i don't know how to spell it) and Teach/Thatch/and WB were all named after the real Black Beard. Or how Orlumbus is named after Chris Colombus. I was wondering if people though this is who Oda used for Shanks or not like maybe we'll find out Shanks full name is something Longshanks or Edwards Shanks.

that would rob the epic out of D, i'd prefer it oda sticked to the few we have, or perhaps introduce other D's. I don't know why people think almost all top tier are D.
