I personally don't care. Though i do happen to have the very unpopular opinion of believing that people that think homosexuality is genetic should not be the first one's lining up to ostracize pedos. If you accept that homosexually isn't a choice and is a "mental/hormonal defect " (for lack of a better term) from birth, how is sexual attraction to children much different? Clearly this is a "defect" as well...

Anyway i don't condone or support pedophila in anyway, but i don't think liberal America could possibly surprize me any more. This generation is a bunch of free loving, overly open minded and absurdly soft hippies.

On one hand, you can't pick what you're attracted to. It's not like you could just decide to be gay one day, you just like what you like. But on the other hand children are far too vulnerable to being exploited and are too young to even think about attraction like an adult does.

For that reason I think everyone attracted to children should be kept away from them and never be allowed to be alone with them. In my eyes child abuse is a worse crime than murder and the only crime I would consider a death penalty sentence for.

What? Children can get over it easier than the families of murder victims.

So potentially ruining a life is worse than ending a life? Makes sense.

to be fair, i don't think anyone who believe homosexuality is a choice, thinks it's made in a day. It's more of a sub conscious choice based off of subliminal exposure over years experiences. the overly objectified, masculine and half naked action figures, the boys you grow up with that were super nice contrasted to the girls that were super mean, the multiple male bonding experiences i.e. summer camp, boy scouts, etc etc etc... it all adds up and eventually influences your nature based around your personality...

Exactly, both homosexuality and pedophilia are not choices, they are defects. Any mature individual can realize its plenty acceptable to live a homosexual lifestyle. Conversely, any mature individual can realize living the life of pedophilia is immoral and simply wrong. Than we have the transgender lifestyle which is the most controversial of all.

The problem arises in the drastic variances in reactions we see in these instances. People that defend homosexuals and transgenders but ridicule pedophiles are hypocrites by definition. All 3 have a mental defect but people are picking and choosing which they think are right and wrong. I'll admit I'm a hypocrite because I accept homosexuality but ridicule transgenders and pedophiles.

How far are you willing to go to defend some while ridiculing others? How much of your opinion is based on the fact that you're hiding behind a computer screen and feel no sense of consequence? It downright sickens me how drastically people will ridicule others when everyone has things that make them bad people. He without sin can cast the first stone. Again, it sickens me.
