I'll go straight to the point. I'm trying to leave Florida after graduating from college but I don't know how I'll be able to get a job, I'm not a social person and I don't really have any friends. I'm studying automotive technology. How much should I'll put aside to make this happen? Is anyone an auto mechanic? Do you mind helping an almost 20 year old guy out please?

Just have faith that you will find a job while doing everything you can towards achieving that goal, we are what we make our selves.

Relate with the fact that every thought and emotion your having, has also been felt by every other human being in this world at one point in there desire for a purpose. And the majority have found their way.

You will to, with time, persistence, humility, and deliberate effort.

First step..

Do a resume.

Second step..

Find a human resources agency and send it to them..

Third step..

Search for jobs in the internet that fits your studies (or not..)

Forth step..

Google is your friend.

You have to try and get past your introvert side. Search online to get a job, meet people with the same goal as you in order to make connections. I think the most important thing is to be tenacious and chase after jobs, even if you're not getting any luck. Do things that will make your resume more impressive, and present yourself with confidence but stay humble. Good luck, bro.

And if I get a job offer than how much should I have saved up?

A lot. Before leaving Florida, you want to make sure you are capable with the money you have, and not with just the clothes on your back, as it could be a big mistake for you.

Depends on what you plan on doing though. You should make a very well thought out plan as to what you want to do with your life before you leave. Something realistic.

Okay, I understand fully
im from nj, i know that my friend saved alot of money in nj, and went to florida, his money lasted him longer in florida than nj, basically florida was cheapeer to live in than nj, but you make less money in flordia than nj(depending on your job), so im guessing when leaving florida the place u go will be more expensive than florida was.

In this day and age networking is key. You have to be social if you want to succeed. Being social means meeting new people that can help you further your goals. If you don't you're gonna have a tough time being picked for positions.

There was a guy like you at one point, he lived in chicago and his life was in shambles but one decision(on top of great determination) changed his life forever. When he decided to move to Phoenix Arizona, he accomplished what he set out to do.

First you want to decide where you want to go to, so do your research before-hand. Pick a state you want to move to and everything you want in that state. For example, if I would move I would look if the people are good over there, if the weather is great, the safety there, the cost of living, business/job opportunities etc. Now take all those things you deem important and compare them to Florida. Then put a number on them from 1-10. For example, how great is the weather, Florida gets 9 while the other state gets 6 so Florida wins there, once you go through the list and you should have a bunch of things, then you simply add the points together and whichever state got the most points wins. You can do this for several states but only compare Florida to one state at a time, you want to get the highest score possible for the state you want to move to or atleast just better than Florida in what you're looking for, that state makes the most sense for you to move to. This method is called Weighted Analysis Decision Matrix or WADM for short. I wish you the best of luck.
