I don't quite grasp what Zeref's originally planning. He has perfect understanding over his own power; the curse of contradiction. He strongly wished to take his own life and ultimately failed , he wished to be with Mavis then lost her, he wished to not to take lives of others & ended up doing the opposite.Whenever he tried to avoid killing people around him.
In other words if he wishes to see the end of humanity then it most certainly won't happen.Much of same can be said about Mavis , she tried to save many lives with tactics & all; in the end she did quite the opposite. Zeref must be aware of this but still what is he trying to accomplish? IMO Zeref is intentionally digging his own grave. Does Zeref originally wanted to get defeated by either Natsu or Acnologia? What is he planning to do with FH? Defeat Acno? Or Revive E.N.D.? So many questions.Zzz

What's up with God Serena? I expected him to be more serious like Hyberion and Wolfheim. And he is pretty young, considering how old is Warrod, and how old Hyberion and Wolfheim seems to be. I am still chearing for him to be former Phantom Lord member/master, considering Makarov knows how strong God Serena is, I assume he knows him very well and that God Serena is not his father.
August, as long as Makarov knows he seems to be strongest out of Spriggans (still thinking that Imber could be hidding something), and he mastered more magics than Zeref (who is alive for 400+), wow he must be amazing. I call him way superior Precht for now.

It's still a bit of a stretch though. I mean Igneel ripped off Acnologia's arm in his final moment, not really much room there to somehow convert the arm into some kind of power and insert it in Natsu.

He has no feelings means that he's neither positive nor negative about humans; in that case he gains control over his power as you said. However he currently wishes to destroy humans means that he holds negative emotions towards them. As you already know feelings can be negative as well as positive so it should work in opposite fashion according to his curse. What you said holds true ,If destroying humans holds no meaning for him as it'd mean that he had no feelings for them. I mean if he's meaninglessly doing all of this on his whim then he can control his power & it doesn't go against him. But if he holds grudge over the world for rejecting him then it means that he has negative feelings towards them so his curse ends up working in an opposite fashion. Of course it doesn't make him weaker or anything but he'll eventually fail to do whatever he's trying to accomplish.
We got a Colored Chapter cover which featured Fairy Tail Guild members. Not all of them can be seen in the chapter cover but a few selective ones. Art is as usual very good and the coloring is also good. We can see Natsu, Lucy, Laxus, Mirajane, Elfman, Lisanna, Erza, Happy, Carla, Lily, Gajeel, Levy, Cana, Juvia, Gray, Wendy, Mavis and Makarov who is hiding under the table. However, the centre of the attraction is Mavis. Looking at this cover page often makes me think that there really isn't much change in the appearance of the FT members except for Laxus after the time-skip. There is so much detail in the Cover page like Happy eating the fish, Mirajane serving, Juvia holding an umbrella which has symbols designed on it which seems fitting for a Rain-Love-Lady like Juvia etc.,. Overall a good Color chapter cover this week.

This week's chapter started with Marin doing Nail Varnish to Brandish who was in his diminished form. It was hypothesized by some people that Marin might have been reduced in size by Brandish in the Caracol Island rather than she killing him at that time. This chapter showed that is the case. Brandish indeed reduced Marin to the size of a Nail Varnish.

While everything is going on like this suddenly Dimaria Yesta, the war princess/Valkyrie makes a quick appearance addressing Brandish as 'Randi' and in return Brandish addresses Dimaria as 'Maria'. Seems like that is how they call each other. Maria says the word of everyone escaping from Caracol Island passed to the Empire such that everyone is talking about. Brandish's reply to that is hilarious. She says 'I let no one escape but I let them be because they were a pain'. Such a hilarious and fun dialogue which suits her behaviour.

Very Good detail in the art. Dimaria plays a joke on Marin comparing him to a bug. When going out of her room, Dimaria says to Brandish that all of the Spriggan 12 are ordered to assemble.

And then the narration shifts towards where we are originally at... That is to Fairy Tail Guild. After Natsu saying he holds a secret trump card which he can only use once to defeat Zeref, everyone in the guild questions him what it is. And Natsu swiftly says if he reveals that then how can that be a secret. However, Natsu is so confident that it can get the Job done. He also added that it specifically made for taking down Zeref. After hearing that, everyone keeps their trust in Natsu. Mavis says that she has some backup plans too.

After hearing what Lucy asked, Makarov starts saying what he knew and what info he gathered past one year in Albareth Empire. He says he met Six of the Spriggan 12 members. As this is going on like this in Fairy Tail Guild, Zeref assembled the Spriggan 12 squad(only Seven are gathered) in Albareth Empire to discuss about the future plans. Seems like among the Spriggan 12 members that were received an order to gather, one person, Neinhart defied even though he was in the Palace.

Makarov then speaks about the Winter General, Invel, he is the Chief of the Staff and Head Administrator. It is also hinted that he uses Ice magic. And then he says about the Desert King, Ajeel Rommul who they met during their escape from Albareth. Zeref proceeds saying he plans to invade Ishgar and we can see Brandish being displeased with that decision. Makarov says that Brandish, The Nation Destroyer, has the power to Vanish nations off the globe. This talks about the Caracol Island. Makarov says Valkyrie, Dimaria Yesta is a female knight like warrior goddesses of legend. Valkyrie from Norse Mythology means the ''one who choose who to live and who to die on a battlefield''. over the course of time in the manga. I can observe the change in appearance of God Serena from how he initially showed. We have yet to know why he left Ishgar and who exactly he is.

The next one up is The Wizard King, August, Makarov shocks that his magic is completely on different level compared to other Spriggan 12 members and may be greater than Zeref's when counted the kinds of magic he can perform. Along with that two more names of Spriggan 12 squad namely, Bradman, Neinhart are known. In this chapter a new Spriggan 12 member made his debut, named, Wall Eehto, Judge. Pretty interesting name if you ask me. And we can see Ajeel appealing to Zeref that he can alone take down Ishgar, the continent were an 'wimp' like God Serena is strongest. I can't say anything about what Ajeel said. It is far-fetched to call God Serena an wimp. Anyway we will find it out soon.

Final Verdict - Overall a Good Chapter with very good parallel story telling of both Albareth and FT guild and advancing the start of Ragnarok with the appearance of the King of Dragons, Acnologia. Art is good and the detail in it as usual very good. The dialogues were nicely written which continued with the flow of what Makarov saying in FT guild and Zeref saying in Albareth along with the few comedic moments. Overall all in all a Good Chapter.
Regarding next chapter, it is named as "A Father's Job....". I think it is related to makarov but I have my doubts about it. Well, that is all this week, next time in next week.
