Swagness itself. Momochi Zabuza eats chubby guys for breakfast.
Okay, to start, I must make my first claim on this argument, which is, how zabuza takes Jirobo down.
A very important part of this debate is to properly state what’s the difference in skills between Zabuza and Jirobo. As we all know, Zabuza is on the same level as part 1 Kakashi (number 1 jonnin on the leaf, after Jiraiya of course), who Jirobo shat his pants just from seeing him around. The difference between elite-jonnin level and (probably) elite-chunnin level is abysmal. The sound 4 as a group, fought together in their v2 forms against 2 not known Jonnin and won by spending a lot of chakra. Meaning that, the sound 4 as a group fighting at the same time had trouble against 2 jonnin which are not on Kakashi’s level (thus not being on Zabuza’s level either). I know A>B>C logic doesn’t work here, this is just to reinforce mi claim of Zabuza’s base skills are all higher than Jirobo’s except for his strength. (Will provide scans below).
Due to Zabuza having greater striking speed, hand seals speed, sunshin speed, reflexes, and intelligence, he would be the winner of this match. All this comes with a plus, which is his great silent killing.
Zabuza has 2 ways of taking down Jirobo, the first one is, to put up the mist, and approach with water clones (his intelligence and clone feinting allowed him to outsmart Kakashi, who’s the smartest character in battle analysis by feats). Once Jirobo falls under the clone feint, Zabuza chops him with Kurikibocho (something like that). Kakashi barely reacted to Zabuza’s strike thanks to sharingan pre-cog, and still got his ass handed to Zabuza and couldn’t dodge properly. Jirobo doesn’t have sharingan pre-cog and the reflexes boost CM gives is not enough to make up for his lack of speed, to the point that Jirobo’s chance of dodging or reacting to an attack that a fast sharingan user couldn’t dodge properly are zero. Tactic number 2 is to keep his distance and attack with big long ranged water jutsus to distract Jirobo, while he sends a clone to his back to trap him in his water prison, drowning him to death. Jirobo’s durability and strength would allow him to tank jutsus such as water dragon or water bortex, but he’d still feel the heavy weight of them, giving Zabuza the chance to finish it with his fast water prison jutsu, that was performed near instantly (near instantly on part 1 timing scales).
Okay here are the scans:
*Zabuza’s sunshin speed being faster than Jirobo’s (outspeeding Kakashi by covering a long distance fast enough that even Kakashi got caught off guard) and his hand seals speed being faster than Jirobo’s (water prison has 8 seals according to databook. Zabuza made them so fast that Kakashi didn’t even get the chance to stand up):

*Zabuza’s striking speed being faster than Jirobo’s (since he kicked so fast Kakashi wasn’t on time to dodge, and we know how fast Kakashi really is)

*Zabuza outsmarting Kakashi

I think that covers my claims of Zabuza being faster (in all kind of speed) than Jirobo. And he’s also smarter, and has the ability to make clones.
Now, to the portrayal and hype scan. . Okay this scan just shows that I wasn’t lying on my first pharagraph, the difference between elite Jonnin and Jirobo’s level is avismal. Anything we’ve seen impressive about the sound 4, shouldn’t be considered on the same scale if we’re talking about Jonnin opponents. All of the sound 4 looked fast and strong, because they were facing chunnin level opponents, while Zabuza is tiers above that.
*Sound 4 struggled a lot against 2 jonnin which are not on Kakashi’s level.

Anyways all this hype is backed up by feats. Let’s continue.

Mist

Undoubtedly Zabuza due to his assassination origins would setup Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hiding in Mist Technique) at the first sign of malicious intent. Once the mist is applied the tide of battle heavily begins to favor Zabuza however, due to both characters possessing zero intel on one another caution would be applied.

Jirōbō upon noticing Kirigakure no Jutsu spreading, and shrouding his once clear view of his opponent would employ one of two possible actions:

Ⓐ. Remain @ a stand-still
Ⓑ. Remove himself

It's blatantly obvious which choice he would capitalize on - "Remove himself." Discharging himself from Kirigakure no Jutsu would be quite simple: . Once underground, Zabuza is indefinitely at Jirōbō's mercy due to Moguragakure no Jutsu (Hiding like a Mole Technique):
" "
By removing himself from the mist you don’t mean he can travel underground until he reaches a location without mist right? That would be impossible, Zabuza covered a whole battlefield with his mist without even a near water source. Here he is standing above water, so his mist is logically stronger. So Zabuza covers the whole valley with mist. Getting to a location that’s safe from the mist would be escaping the fight.

Anyways, by removing himself from the mist I’m sure you didn’t mean that ^ but I covered it just in case. Moving on:
Okay so Zabuza puts up the mist, and Jirobo goes underground, is that correct?
Hiding like a mole allows the user to feel the magnetic force above his buried head, thus letting the user know what is happening above him even if he can’t see. This is the only way Jirobo can locate where Zabuza is once the mist is on since he doesn’t have sensing abilities.
Zabuza counters this easely with 2 methods.
A- Once Jirobo goes underground, Zabuza realizes it’s dangerous since he could attack from under his feet at any time, so he makes water clones. On the battle on the brigde, Zabuza made around 8 clones, which were in fact weak and taken out by Sasuke, but in this case that’s not important, since their only task is to stand there, to confuse Jirobo’s magnetic sensing. If jirobo feels 10 different magnetic forces, we won’t know where to attack, putting in high risk his own life by being clone feinted. Since if he comes out to surface and catches the wrong Zabuza, the real one comes and chops him with his sword. Another thing is that, Jirobo’s underground travelling isn’t silent and sneaky like Kakashi’s. This guy actually goes breaking the floor in front of him to move below the ground (look at Docta’s pic about this). If Jirobo goes underground, Zabuza would hear where he is moving.
Here’s proof of Zabuza making a lot of clones and of Zabuza hearing form under the ground.

If Jirobo finds the real Zabuza, then he must be fast enough to actually get him from underground. Highly unlekily anyways, since Zabuza is a lot faster than Jirobo.

B- Zabuza puts up the mist, Jirobo goes underground, Zabuza realizes what’s happening due to his sharp hearing and proceeds to jump into the water (given the location). Jirobo’s chances of finding Zabuza are finished. His only chance is to track him from under the earth with magnetic force, which isn’t happening if there’s no ground on their feet. If Zabuza jumps to the water he gets out of Jirobo’s reach (from underground) and remains invisible. Jirobo can’t hide underground for ever, and once he comes out, he’s totally blind again and up against a much faster opponent than him.
The above quote/databook scan iterates that not only can Jirōbō once submerged underground sense his exact location, but he can also pinpoint, and accurately assess anything else above the surface eg; Zabuza. Another interesting gimmick is that Tobi upon Deidara's command used Moguragakure no Jutsu to plant several landmines - this notifies us that .
Zabuza jumps to water or makes several clones to give Jirobo too many magnetic forces to pick which one attack. If he fails, Zabuza already knows his location. If he choses the right one, Zabuza is too fast anyways.
Recap

Ⓐ: Application of Kirigakure no Jutsu
Ⓑ: Removal from scenario: Moguragakure no Jutsu
Ⓒ: Movement/Jutsu whilst Moguragakure no Jutsu; proved
1-Zabuza makes the mist
2-Jirobo goes underground
3 A- Zabuza makes several clones, Jirobo attacks one of the clones, Zabuza pinpoints Jirobo’s location and finishes him.
3 B- Zabuza jumps to the water. Jirobo’s hiding like a mole is turned useless. Once he comes up again he’s still facing an opponent he can’t track, see or keep up with his speed.
Mist II

The mist isn't as big of a problem as it once posed, but Jirōbō clearing the mild visionary hindrance would be in his best interest - so I will propose a scenario in which he clears the mist completely. For Jirōbō to completely clear the vicinity of Kirigakure no Jutsu, we'll first have to deduce the : A waterfall - A river - Two large stone monuments - And a surrounding of earthen features.

Now we must deduce Jirōbō's raw strength:

Ⓐ: Base, Jirōbō was able to lift an enormous amass of rock from underground .
Ⓑ: V1, Jirōbō's strength innately increased, as does any character who wields a cursed seal.
ⓒ: V2, Jirōbō's strength insanely skyrocketed - Increasing his strength from base by . Jirōbō lifted, and threw a with whilst in V2; . One arm equals a lot more than one mountain - two arms equal much more than two mountains - True herculean strength; Jirōbō puts Tsunade & Sakura to shame.

Jirōbō's herculean strength would allow him to lift the entire right portion of . This tactic would:

Ⓐ. Dissipate the mist → Impact would cause wind generated by force of collision.
Ⓑ. Conceal the river's base water source.
ⓒ. Crush & kill Zabuza.
1- You’re assuming Zabuza would just give Jirobo enough time to lift two mountain sized rocks and smash them against the ground. Don’t forget Zabuza’s keen senses. Once he hears Jirobo lifting a rock, he pinpoints his exact location and decapitates him. Or simply makes a long ranged water jutsu to where the sound comes from. It wouldn’t take Jirobo down but it would disrupt the whole stone lifting thing.
2- If the impact discipates the mist then Zabuza makes more. Refer to the first scan I posted “the mist is getting thicker” meaning Zabuza can always make more mist. This scenario of the mist getting thicker happened every time Zabuza used Kirigakure no jutsu.
3- The river is not concealed. There’s no proof of how deep the river is, but if you throw a rock to the water, the rock goes to the bottom and water emerges. The only thing Jirobo would accomplish would be to raise the water level. The same quantity of water would still be there. Unless you’re suggesting Jirobo would cut an exact piece of rock that works like a plug. The rock would never be big enough.
4- Zabuza can just stand near Jirobo so the stone wouldn’t crush him. Unless Jirobo is planning to crush himself too.
So, if Jirobo makes this move:
*Enters a vulnerable position
*Gives Zabuza an exact location
*Gives Zabuza enough time to blitz him, since I doubt he can lift the rock and throw it faster than what Zabuza can close their distances due to his high speed
*If he manages to take out the mist, Zabuza makes more
Recap II

Ⓐ: Application of Kirigakure no Jutsu
Ⓑ: Removal from scenario: Moguragakure no Jutsu
Ⓒ: Movement/Jutsu whilst Moguragakure no Jutsu; proved
Ⓓ: Location advantages evaluated
Ⓔ: Jirōbō's herculean strength evaluated
Ⓕ: Mist cleared → Water-source #1 (river) concealed → Zabuza's death ... Inconclusive ✘
If Jirobo uses this tactic Zabuza murks him before he lifts the rock.
Tactic II

Confirmation of Zabuza's death would be at hand thus, Jirōbō would reemploy the Moguragakure no Jutsu - enabling him to sense any, and all living presence upon the surface eg; Zabuza's possible movement. With confirmation that Zabuza is still possibly alive, tactic #2 would be undergone.
Zabuza shits on Jirobo’s hiding like a mole technique via clones or going to water

Shattered earth litters the playing field, only furthering Jirōbō's newly-gained advantage. Jirōbō is able to throughout the grounds entirety - This gives him , and control over the Earth.
Nice fan fic.
You took Jirobo’s earth prison jutsu, and from there deduced Jirobo can chanell his chakra trough all the ground? Lmao. His chakra was already getting weak from being a few mts further from Jirobo. If he channels chakra to the ground, his chakra has a reach limit, which is really poor as seen here:
You must be registered for see images
If jirobo channels his chakra into the ground, he only has a few mts until his chakra starts getting weaker. No way he can cover all the ground. He can only cover a small area around himself. And given the fact that Zabuza would approach using clones first, if Jirobo uses this on a clone, he gets trolled, again.

Due to Tactic II, Jirōbō needn't only touch the underbelly of the surface, channeling his chakra throughout the surface - Leaving Zabuza to fend himself off against unorthodox, and unreadable assaults from the earthen-terrain. Lest not forget Doton > Suiton within the element tables; Zabuza would have to heavily exhaust his chakra supply midst evading/counteracting the earthen-based strikes. The end result: Zabuza becomes to depleted → affects his physical morality → maimed by the Earth.
Which would only work on a few mts around him. The ground that’s far from Jirobo wouldn’t be chakra kneaded, thus letting Zabuza stand on it safely.
If Zabuza notices that once he gets close to Jirobo the ground starts moving by itself attacking him, then he’d just retreat and attack with long distance jutsus.

Tactic III

Tactic III is even easier than Tactic II, in execution, and end result. Upon applying Tactic III, Jirōbō would once again touch the surfaces underbelly, but rather than in an inaccurate location, Jirōbō would position himself directly below Zabuza. Reason for this is simple:

Ⓐ: Faster application
Ⓑ: Impossible to pinpoint weakness

Once Jirōbō is beneath Zabuza's initial footing, the erecting of would commence, quickly engulfing Zabuza in a proportionally controlled dome - I say proportionally because Jirōbō can, and will limit the initial spacing - Jirōbō against Naruto & Co. This immensely lessens the application time needed to subdue, and conceal Jirōbō's target - With the element of surprise as well Zabuza would be effortlessly captured, even with caution heavily applied.
This is only viable if Jirobo can pin point Zabuza’s location without going underground, which is not possible, he can’t see him.
If Jirobo goes underground to pin point Zabuza’s location and then come out and trap him on his earth prison, Zabuza counters with clone feints. Jirobo won’t know where the real Zabuza is, wasting his earth prison on a clone and giving Zabuza the chance to finish him.
Already explained, Jirobo going underground is useless.

Stationing himself underground also further negates the nearly impossible feat of deducing Doton Kekkai: Dorō Dōmu's weak point - Because the weak point will be right under Zabuza's feet. Jirōbō would merely need to evenly distribute his chakra everywhere, but the initial application position eg; Zabuza's feet. This spot would be the weakest, and most vulnerable however, due to:

Ⓐ. Zabuza not possessing Byakugan to perceive the weak point
Ⓑ. Zabuza initially being clueless to what is happening
Well it’s true that Zabuza can’t counter the earth prison. If he gets caught he’s done. But Jirobo is not accomplishing something like that against Zabuza.
He'd be a sitting duck. Literally. With Zabuza being completely sealed off, he seemingly has three choices that are futile to pursue
Zabuza can hear pretty well even if the sounds come from under ground. He wouldn’t just sit there.
Ⓐ. Suiton - Futile; Doton Kekkai: Dorō Dōmu is Doton-based. Doton > Suiton, as well the dome would simply regenerate.
Ⓑ. Kubikiribōchō - Futile; Kubikiribōchō would simply deflect off of the rocks, and even so if scratches/indentations were made, the dome would regenerate.
Ⓒ. Die - Effective; Zabuza could cry himself to sleep/his inevitable death, and dream/think about his lover Haku, until he silently passed due to chakra depletion - Smartest option.
True
With Jirōbō controlling the properties of Dorō Dōmu, and there only being one captive the chakra drainage would be 4 times faster - Subtract Naruto, Neji, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Akamaru, but keep Choji (5-1=4) as the drainage must've been equalized for the entire captivity.

Another quick scenario that could/would come out of Tactic III would be for Jirōbō to simply crush Zabuza to death by controlling the Earth, though that wouldn't fit his nature - He's a monster, and a hungry one at that. He'd rather suck you dry of chakra, killing you slowly, and miserably than end it all in an instant.
I think that we all agree that once Zabuza is trapped on the earth prison he’s done. No need for taking this further.

1- Zabuza makes the mist
2- Jirobo goes under ground
3A- Zabuza makes clones to confuse Jirobo. He wouldn’t know which one is the real Zabuza from under the ground, thus, he can’t really do anything here
3B- Once Jirobo goes underground Zabuza jumps to the river.
4- Jirobo realizes he can’t really get rid of Zabuza unless he clears the mist, since his hiding like a mole got trolled, so he decides to lift a giant boulder and drop it, dispersing the mist. But when he’s halfway done with the stone lifting, Zabuza attacks him with a water jutsu or speed blitzes the vulnerable Jirobo who’s spending all his strength into lifting a mountain.
5- Not to mention that the river would always be there, unless Jirobo manages to lift a rock big enough to plug all the river’s surface, which is imposible, so Zabuza still has his water source
6- Jirobo can’t trap Zabuza on his earth prison since:
-If he tries to do that from above the ground, he would just be a blind chubby guy trying to get an opponent he can’t even see or keep up with his speed. He’s eventually getting speedblitzed and decapitated once Zabuza locates him via sound
-If he tries to go underground to locate Zabuza, then emerge and trap him on his prison , Zabuza just trolls him making clones. Jirobo won’t know from underground what’s happening, rendering this tactic useless.

Jirobo’s only option here is to sit and wait to get obliverated.
