There was no need to kill everybody in the clan. Not everyone was a threat. Just the shinobi who had power, so by default he was evil for initiating an attack on innocent people.

Some people will seek revenge and some people won't. Not everyone believes in revenge and some people aren't even strong enough to pursue it.

Sasuke's whole clan was wiped out and he later on sent out for revenge and eventually carried it out, even starting from a young age. Now why? Because some arrogant old guy thought that killing an entire clan would be the best idea, and now he wants to blame Sasuke for throwing all of his anger at Konoha when in fact Danzo was the main recipe for Sasuke demise.

I wonder who was the cause for a boy wanting revenge? Oh yeah, it was Danzo.

Don't even bother bringing up that stupid argument about the Uchiha trying to attack Konoha, because if it wasn't for the fools of the leaf spying and being suspicious of the Uchiha then they would have no reason to carry out their plans in the first place. The Leaf didn't trust the Uchiha to begin with, so obviously the Uchiha would respond in anger and even try to attack them first. You think if someone is trying to spy on you 24/7 you will be okay with it?

Like I said, not everyone was responsible for that coup, so not everyone deserved to die.

The only reason why Sasuke lived was because Itachi let him live, and quite frankly it was for the best. There had to be a last survivor to kill the monster who wiped out his clan over some political BS, and it seems that Sasuke got his wish, and now while Danzo is rotting in the dirt being pathetic, Sasuke received the last laugh.

The Uchiha Clan is no different. They planned to usurp the Leaf's authority and place themselves in charge.

Danzo believes that only complete control can bring about peace and all of his actions were dedicated toward controlling others. Yes Danzo and Itachi represented the belief that doing whatever it takes to protect the peace even if it means doing the unthinkable is what it means to be a true Shinobi. Having the strength to make decisions a soft heart like Naruto or Hashirama couldn't make is what makes Itachi or Danzo the "better Shinobi". However, it's about yin and yang. Danzo had Sarutobi, Madara had Hashirama, Sasuke had Naruto. The problem was the Yin and the Yang could never learn to cooperate so they couldn't balance each other out and help maintain peace in a self sustaining manner. In the end Naruto and Sasuke learned to understand and accept each other and move forward as a team, Sasuke is still the cold and cunning Shinobi in the darkness willing to do what we it takes, but Naruto is the warm pillar of light that people look up to and also who works with Sasuke to come to consensus on difficult matters that require different outlooks, a sensitive one and an insensitive one.
