No, that is not how amaterasu works. Amaterasu heat can only be felt when you touch it, it doesnt work the same way normal flames do.

Amaterasu is a Sun goddess in Japanese mythology, Kishi is purposefully comparing Sasuke's jutsu to the sun, not because of its temperature or atomic structure but because it's capable of reducing anything to dust like a Sun would do.
