Lord Danzo's Ninja Way is, without question, the truest Shinobi ideology in the verse. In a very concise, easy-to-understand method, I'll explain why.

-Itachi Uchiha-

Regarded by many here as a messianic force in the Shinobi world. Perhaps he is. Let's take a look at what he believes a ninja to be:

Itachi learned this philosophy from Shisui Uchiha, one of his only true friends.

Shisui Uchiha uses the same weaponry as Root, and Shisui adheres to Danzo's same ideology. Shisui was, most probably, a member of Root under Danzo and based his ideas directly upon Danzo's own. An ideology that Itachi adheres to.

in reality danzo's way may seem legit,i mean...great nations of the world have done some dark deeds underground to put them on that top level...danzo was harsh though.

Danzo didn't want to die. While it may be hypocritical, I would not call it cowardly. Nobody wants to die.
