How can you watch/read an anime/manga if...

How can you watch/read an anime/manga if you hate the MC's guts? That makes no sense whatsoever. Facts: The plot revolves around the MC. More facts: The ending 90% of the time is favorable to the MC.

This one might not as be obvious: The MC gets the most screen-time.

So, if this applies to you, how do you do it?

Obviously, but you have to be pretty obsessed with that character if their little to no screen-time makes up for the hatred of the MC.

I didn't like Naruto and don't like Ichigo either, nonetheless I enjoy Bleach and Naruto a lot. Sasuke was my fav in Naruto, so he got a lot of screen time.
As for Bleach, Ichigo isn't always the most important person. There are a lot of long and good side stories.

I don't even get what your problem is. I actually do have a character obsession with Sasuke lol. But if he wasn't my fav and I still didn't like Naruto, the series would still have been just as good for me as it was with Sasuke as my fav because there are a lot of good characters and the story was good, too (most of the time).
Now if the story only focused on Naruto becoming Hokage, like we only see him doing missions and ranking up, then it wouldn't be as enjoyable if you don't like the MC. Do you get what I'm saying? As long as not everything focuses too much on the MC, you can still like a manga/anime.

Maybe they prefer other characters over the MC- not exactly hating.

It's like when you go to a grocery store, you are given multiple fruits and vegetables to choose from, just because you choose one over the other doesn't mean you necessarily hate the others- it's preference.

You might even be interested in the lore or themes of the story rather than the characters themselves. Parasyte, FMA, and Tokyo Ghoul are good examples of this. (for me at least)
