reread my comments..i was up to date with manga till the end...this why i aksed you to bring me a manga panel evidence of obito confirming himself to be the masked man tobi...now listen to me well :
-the truth of tobi you've seen were just flashbacks of a delusioned and half-crushed brain obito....obito just showed you flashbacks of how he become evil, rather then confirming himself to be the masked man tobi...and you readers just swallowed this bait....
-think about it well...do you really think some skilled ninjas were dumb idiots for saying tobi was Madara??....if tobi was really just obiton, then why didn't kishi showed us how obito fooled kisam and itachi , and what tobi-face did kisame see?....that's becuz obito wasn't the boss tobi...obito was just a weaker vessel for the immortal Tobidara (the 2nd madara)...Madara was indeed tobi....Madara wasn't in his reall vessel....Tobimadara's reall vessel was the rikudo madara who got revived in the end of series..rikudo madara died...but the other tobimadara is very much alive.... thats how Tobidara is the reall mastermind ..and thats why Tobidara >>>>>>> black zetsu and Kaguya...

I joined around chapter 610, but started lurking around the time of the Obito reveal.
Guess I missed those great threads about Tobi's identity, but even though there wasn't a compelling mystery anymore, there were still decent theory threads and discussions during 2013-early 2014.

In the years prior to Obito's reveal, there were far and beyond more theories on Tobi's identity OTHER than Tobi=Izuna. There were legitimate theories on Tobi being just about any character you can think of, and 80% were extremely fun to read. It was blast, and that was just one aspect of the base back then =DWhat I don't get is why was there such a confusion about Tobi being Obito? Izuna wouldn't have made any sense. Here are a few examples.
When Tobi was trying to show his face to Sasuke

This once again reminded me of Obito.
Anyways those are just my 2 cents on that, I would have liked to see how crazy it was in the base back then. :yeah:
I feel like you misunderstood what I was saying. While back in the day, I used to hate the idea of Tobi being Obito, but that was back in 2010-2011. After his reveal, and to this day I love Obito's character. He is easily in my top 3 favorite written characters in the series.
After Obito's reveal, there were still some theories floating around, however most of them were just grabbing in the air and very few had much enthusiasm behind the theories themselves. That wasn't necessarily the members fault, it was because at that point in time in the manga, the story was at it's climax and was heading towards it's finale. The story had no significant revelations after Obito was revealed, thus there were no enthusiastic theories as in most scenarios it was easy to guess where the plot was headed.
Five years ago the story could have gone in so many directions, with so many elements to the story introduced that there were so many fun theories written every day. Theories like who was Tobi, what was in the mystery coffin that Kabuto showed Tobi, what was Zetsu, what was the "power" Itachi gave Naruto, etc.

Yeah you could say that lol. That's pretty much all it had, hype. After the reveal there was no hype. The reveal was almost as bad as when kakashi got ps imo. It was just a controversial for the moment.
