Not sure if this was mentioned already...

Will Kaido be Luffy's first real "kill"? Will he be able to give Kaido the closure he so desires?

Assuming Kid's Alliance falls to Kaido, I can see this being a great development in the long run.

I'm thinking more alogn the lines he will give Kaido his will back to live? A good fight maybe. And a promise that one day he will return and give him the beating of a lifetime. Or he could just let Law switch him in a goldfish and gg
Your scenario looks better but it's less likely Luffy would kill someone tbh

Urouge was spared by Kaido, so I don't see why any of the other Supernova will meet with a different fate. Kaido doesn't seem interested in fighting small fry, is all.

Also, am I right to assume that Dressrosa is now Luffy's turf?
Mmmm I wouldn't say it's his turf. He has the support of the King and his army now, but turf was never part of the dispute like Fishman island otherwise it would have been stated.

What We Know

- Kaido's appearance is strikingly similar to that of Oars and Oars Jr. (Horns, Hair, Big Body, Overall Design)
- Moriah was defeated by Kaido in the past, and wanted to get his revenge using the zombified body of Oars.
- Kaido's Jolley Roger appears to have 3 skulls, just like the chain/belt of Oars Jr./Oars also have 3 skulls. (See below)
- Wano Samurai Kin'emon & Momonosuke reacted heavily upon hearing Kaido's name. (There are lots of theories revolving Kaido ruling Wano.)
- Oars Jr. received a typical Wano hat from Ace. (See below)

The Oars Bloodline

Oars and Oars Jr. are knowingly related. What many don't know is that Oars Jr. is actually called Oars III. If we speculate that Oars I is Oars, and Oars III is Oars Jr., then who is Oars II? Could it be Kaido, or Kaido's father/grandfather?

The connection is obvious: The looks, the Jolley Roger, the speculated connection via Wano. And most importantly: Gecko Moriah.

Gecko Moriah, Oars, and Kaido

So Gecko Moriah was defeated by Kaido, who looks 90% like Oars Jr., and then plans to get his revenge by using a zombified Oars. Coincidence? Please. I think it is more than obvious that Kaido is related to Oars. That's why Moriah wanted to use Oars to defeat Kaido.

I read an interesting idea from GomuMeraPistol:

"I think after Ace was so kind to Little Oars Jr. by making him the hat, Little Oars Jr. wanted to repay the favor by helping Whitebeard in the future. However, Kaido did not like this. Little Oars Jr. allying with Whiteboard caused Kaido to become angry and swear revenge on Whitebeard for stealing away his son. This is why Kaido tried to attack Whiteboard in marine ford."

90% is a huge overestimation. The only thing they truly have in common physically, are those horns. The main reason as why people started considering a connection between Kaido and Oars, are their horns. Remove the horns and any visible connection disappears. Huge? His size isn't that unusual when you compare it to Whitebeard, Kuma or Moria and the difference between his size and that of the Oars', is extremely big. Hairy? Not unusual either. Frankly saying that he is closer to the 10% rather than the 90% seems to be more accurate as putting aside the hight difference, both Oars' had very characteristic jaws, teeth and fangs and they were pretty much fat. Their limbs were also quite disproportionate and their lower arms in particular. They always reminded me of Popeye's arms.

So realistically speaking the only thing they truly have in common visually, are their horns. So 90% is a huge overestimation as for the crucial parts you would expect them to be similar, are not and the rest is not that unusual.

When I first saw Kaido's jolly roger, it reminded me of another one, but not that of Oars. It reminded me of Blackbeard's Jolly Roger, which has three skulls and four crossed bones in the shape of a circle. The latter is also the case for Kaido's jolly Roger. Not that I'm saying that there is a connection between the two of them, on the contrary. My point is that you already need to be using a lot of imagination to see three skulls in Kaido's JR and that trying to make a connection between that and a necklace Oars is wearing, is quite far-fetched. Again the only thing Kaido's and Oars' JR have in common, are those horns. Other than that they're quite different, especially Oars' tendency to emphasis on him being Oars III. Visually Kaido's JR resembles that of BB a lot more and there is no reason to assume a connection between those two, so no reason to do it with Oars either.

The whole Kaido - WB - Oars - Wano connection also feels very forced. Oars referred to WB each time as "pops", the marines also identified every pirate captain present at Marineford as being in an alliance with WB, which means it also included Oars. WB's dream was to have a family and according to Marco having this father-son relationship made them all happy. Kinda weird for Oars to have that and call WB "pops" when he's related to Kaido. When Ace gave the hat to Oars, they were not in Wano as there would be no point in telling he learned it in Wano when they are in Wano. So this all indicates that Oars was already a part of WB's fleet quite a while before the War of the Best and that there isn't a particular connection with Wano either other than Ace having been there. So that Kaido would move out for this on the exact moment that WB and Marineford are going to clash, then redraws after having a chat with Shanks and then consequently does nothing for two years while Oars died during that war, doesn't make any sense.

Then Moria. His issue was that he wanted a strong, immortal crew, so he sacked graves all over the world and Oars was supposed to be his strongest soldier. If he took Oars' body because of his connection with Kaido, why didn't he even once referred to that? When he saw Oars III at Marineford, he didn't say "Kaido's son", but "Oars' descendant" and he wasn't the only one who did that. If there was a connection between Kaido and Oars III, then Moria nor anyone else knew of it.

In the end it all comes down to those horns and then specifically the shape of those horns as even horns aren't that unusual to have in the OP world. One of Blackbeard's men, Avalo Pisarro or something, also has a set of large horns.

Okay bro, i respect your opinion.

But i would like to point out, Ace called Whitebeard "father" and disregarded Roger .

Also, why would moria state 'oars son or etc' ? There is something called suspense. I'm sorry but you cannot just unpack a persons thoughts and provide your own reasoning , pass it off as facts. I'm not insulted or anything, just saying.

And Roger died more than a year before Ace's birth and the only thing he knew about him, was what people told him. Kaidou can't even kill himself. Ace had a huge complex about this, while both Oars' appeared to be rather simple-minded.

And why would Moria not say anything? He had no issues saying that his crew had been slaughtered by Kaido and that he wanted to take revenge. Same thing with Luffy during the Marineford where he immediately became angry when he heard Luffy's name. Moria holds grudges, but he doesn't say anything about having turned Kaido's ancestor into a zombie and that he killed his supposed son with the intention of turning him into a zombie likewise. Then he refers to Oars III as being Oars' descendant and not that of Kaido's. If he knew that Oars would have been Kaido's son or something, he would have said so. It makes no sense that he skips a generation. Why would he connect him with Oars rather than with Kaido? Suspense? That's not even a valid factor as Moria is not going to care about Suspense. That's Oda's job and he doesn't need to have Moria know about Oars' potential connection to Kaido to keep that in suspense.

And I can unpack a person's thoughts and provide my own reasoning as that's the entire essence of making theories, you yourself just tried to do exactly that.
