So I've been a NB member since 2012, and I use to be active on the daily basis. If theirs anybody reading this post, and you remember, or know who I am, you may remember that I'm an animal lover, and have owned exotic animals since I was a child
(snakes(venomous copper heads, burmese Pythons, ball pythons, red tailed boas, green snakes, bull snakes, hognose snakes, a variety of eastern milk snakes, scarlett King snakes, Californian King snakes, eastern King snakes, garter snakes, ring neck snakes, and so many more that I can't even remember all of them) legless lizards, two toed amphiuma(which is a snake-like lizard with two small front legs), glass lizards, Carolina great horned owl(that I rescued from the road, and nursed back to health after it flew Into a vehicle of some sort), geckos, bearded dragons, caimans(sort of like a crocodile that only gets 6ft long, they were babies though), sugar gliders, spider monkeys(which I barely remember since I was so young), emus( hated those bastards, they're like ostriches), kudamandis/coatimundi( cross between an ant eater, and a raccoon) possum, raccoons, exotic bird's, turtles(snapping, mud, spotted, painted, and a whole lot of others))
I've owned so many unique animals that I can't complete this list. If you go back to my replys under "show us yourself" that should be clear since I have pictures posted of my pet squirrel.

Anyways now I have my dream job I get to work at a zoo. I take care of the animals here. It's not like a state zoo. More like a small owned one, but they still have hundreds of exotic animals. Tigers, bears wolves, monkeys, water buffalo, hyaena, gazelle, giraffe and lots of other animals you'd find indigenous to Africa. kudamandis. They even have a couple of hybrid animal here that a cross between a zebra and a horse, and a donkey and a horse. They're called Zorses, and Zonkeys.

It's awesome though I get to play with Luna, which is their tiger that's still in its teens, their wolves which are my favorite, their kudamandis which is awesome even though I owned one because I was so young at the time. They even have a completely white peacock(male, and female) and those are pretty rare.hell they even have regular ol'dogs and cats here.
The owners are two gay men that are cool as hell as well, and they pay good. Depending on the job they pay up to 25$ an hour which is really good in North Carolina.

Anyways just thought I'd share this, and wanted to see if you guys thinks I should take some photos of the animals, then incorporate them into the NB photo contest?

Milk Shake lmao

Ohh I get get it instead of milk snake, milk shake. Good one. I actually have afunny story about a mil snake. When I was three and we were building the house I live in now, I wanted to look for snakes under the boards the construction crew left on the ground. My brother says "you're not going to find one those boards have only been on the ground a couple of days" sure enough I lift up a board find one go to grab it and it bites the tip of my finger. It held on for what felt like forever, but was probably more like 30 minutes. We tried every thing to get it off, setting an ice cube on its head, smothering it under a pillow, taking pine straw and shoving it in its nostrils, and the bastard still wouldn't let go. Needless to say I'm still traumatized to this day. That milk snake often visits me in my dream, and haunts me.

I don't think we have llamas. I don't venture off into the safari area that often.

EDIT: if we do though I'll make sure to get you a pic. Problem is I work here at night. Watching the animals, and I have a 1st gen iPad, and the cameras sh!tty. Even still I'll try my hardest.

Yeah that's my dog Eli. Even with all the cool exotic animals I've owned nothing beats him. He's my best friend, hands down. I honestly think dogs can understand you, almost as if they can read your mind, or at least can sense your emotional state. That dog always knows exactly what to do to cheer me up.

Quick fun fact: when dogs and humans make eye contact, both parties release oxytocin. Which is then chemical in the brain contributes to mothers falling in love with their children, and men and women falling in love. Of course for humans theirs a plethora of other chemicals being released, or else you'd be falling in love with your dog the same way you do with you significant other, or child.

sweet job, hope it pays you well ^^

Some days 15$/hr, other 25$/hr, depending on the work.

EDIT: in North Carolina that's really good pay. Especially for a job you love. Hell I'd do this job for NC minimum wage 7.25$/hr.
