He didn't cheat if anything he was tricked into cheating.
I like how Naruto takes his headband though.

I here that alot too but if people really think about it, they are shinobi an deception is a tool that they use in battle..there is no such thing as cheating when it come to getting the job done..weather it be training or the real deal.

Not really. The final exams are a test of outright battle skill, and unlike the preliminary exam, you are NOT supposed to cheat. Everyone could use a device like that and the test would be inaccurate.

No his cheating is not right. He was specifically informed on what was and was not acceptable, and he was not intended to cheat in order to gather information, he was intended to use his strengths to win, which he failed to do even with help from this device.

He cheated wrongly AND got caught AND he still lost.

"Prodigy", yeah right, just got trained by sasuke is all.

And what do you think they are testing for?

They're testing to see if they can get the job done. Do you think he won't use that bracelet against a real enemy?

That is actually quite the change up to Naruto's character. Like maybe this is the first time when he has actually acted strict against someone. Granted Boruto is his son but Naruto could have waited till the match was over or at least put the match on hiatus for some time, Announce Shikadai as the Chunin Exam winner and then discipline Boruto at home lmao. Not in front of strangers and embarrasses the shit out of him to the point where his son leaves the house and throws his clothes on the floor.

Boruto went against the rules of the competition and got caught. The bad part really isn't that he cheated. It's that ppl were expecting him to live up to the hype of a prodigy and instead he used a device to make him look better than what he really was.

Boruto's only real claim as a prodigy from this movie comes from the fact that he made a raiton rasengan.

In the Chuunin exam without the device Boruto's performance bordered on pathetic from what I heard

Shikadai low diff'd Boruto

why would this be cheating I wonder? The bracelet is a ninja tool. Would you say

Temrai was cheating because she used her wind fan during the Chunin exams?
Would you say Sasuke was cheating because he used ninja wire during the chunnin exam?
Would you say Naruto and Sakura were cheating because they used Kunai during the chunin exams
Was it cheating when the sound ninja beat Choji with this sound glove?
Was it cheating because Gaara's Sand protects him of its own accord?
Was it cheating when Shikamaru use his shirt and kunai to cast a shadow to extend his jutsu during the Chunin exam?

So why is it cheating that Bolt used another ninja tool?

Technology is prohibited from being used in the Chuunin exams, just like how technology (aside from certain calculators) is prohibited from use in the SAT's and ACT's or any major exam one must take

I hope he got trained AFTER he cheated... Or this could potentially tarnish Lord Godsuke's name: "His student had to resort to cheating" that is what Sasuke haters would be saying...

Yes but it's different. They are not intended to cheat in the final exams and he knew that. He was even warned against it.

Yes they cheat in the preliminary round, but that was intended. The final is exclusively a test or actual battle strength, and technological tools that enhance performance were banned. So he shouldn't have used it. Anyone could use it, so what's the point of the exams if everyone just used false strength?

Because that's what happens in the real world.

What's the point of testing someone who can't use their full arsenal? You think someone is going to hold back against an enemy with killing intent because of the moral implications?

Bolt without the bracelet can't beat some enemies in the exam, but bolt with the bracelet can defeat someone in the real world, which is what shinobi are all about.

You better believe Naruto, Lee, Kiba, Shikamaru, Neji, and Chouji would have killed to have that bracelet during the Sasuke retrieval arc.

See that's what the or preliminaries are for though. To test you for real world scenarios.

The finals are not for that purpose. They WANT real strength. Specifically. They are not testing real world scenarios, they want pure battle strength.

They want to see who he can beat by his self without outward interference.

And regardless of any of this, it was still specifically noted that technology was forbidden. Some knew in the first place he would've been disqualified. So it's outright stated that you aren't supposed to cheat.

I don't care what was stated. I'm debating that the rule itself was retarded.

Can't use outside influences? I guess Kiba's chakra pills don't count. Or maybe Dosu's sound bracer arm. Or Kankuro's projectile puppets. Or Zaku's air pressure cannons mounted inside his arms.

Are you saying that if Bolt created a scroll that produces flames, he would not be able to use it because he isn't producing the flames himself?

The validity of the rules are irrelevant. He knew what was forbidden and did it anyways. Whether or not the rule was bull or not is irrelevant as well.

Boruto is too good even without it.

Only Prodigys may use these things.
more like only someone not confident enough in his ability may use it.

In all honesty and all jokes aside i see absolutely no problem in Borutp using this mecha gear if he is a master with it. Why not?
there is no master about it, literally anyone can use it if they wish. its nothing special

OT. it was forbidden period. use it and get caught and you get disqualified. they all knew the rules

It's not irrelevant, because that's exactly what I'm debating. Now, am I right, or are you continuing the debate?

I mean I can get why it makes it cheating but then I don't...... Like.. A lot of characters in Naruto one upped each other from using their others power. I mean out of team 7... (No disrespect to Sasuke, Naruto or Kakashi) but Sakura was the ONLY one who's abilities did not come from a special clan and was actually purely her hard earned work. Similar to Lee....

While Naruto and Sasuke getting upgrades from either sharingan, kyuubi or SO6P... and Kakashi was using Obito's goddamn sharingan... So... this entire manga that didn't come from purely their OWN power now deems this as a cheating tool.. I get it because Boruto didn't work what's so ever for these techniques but... Madara over here inserting Hashirama cells like it's nothing. :sdo:

Did you forget that Madara had to fight a valley-creating death battle in order to even get those cells? Madara worked for his power

The rule was that the bracelet was not allowed and boruto disregarded that rule therefore he got disqualified for cheating

And what if his opponent also has the bracelet and has also trained in actual ninja arts? He dies a miserable death thats what happens. Unlike actual ninja tools, the bracelet doesn't require skill or special training and can be used by anyone. The purpose of that stage of the chuunin exams is judge the students' actual skill not their ability to complete a mission

I don't think it's cheating...but alot of the base an the way the movie is portraying it seems to think so.
