I have been wondering about that. If it was haki then the attacks are supposed to be blocked but they passed through him.

I stated my argument, and you obviously are reading some other pirate manga because akainu turned into lava and regenerated, tell me how dodging plays into that, tell me why haki can't cancel others haki when it has been shown to do exactly that. Tell me why akainu had no damage in those areas when he was shown after being "hit". the evidence proves you wrong and you can't admit it, you are the only one who think akainu somehow dodged when it was shown he was clearly hit but maintained logia intangibility. You are plain wrong and have no evidence to support your claim.

OP: This thread is not needed and you know it, even if G4 was Top tier it wouldn't mean he can beat Akainu.

And why is that? I've seen people swear up and down that Gear 4th makes Luffy Top Tier. As far as I'm concerned, all the top tiers in OP can defeat each other with extreme difficulty. Placing Luffy in this class means that he is a legitimate challenge to Akainu. Though, the very same people who were calling him a top tier are saying he'll get mid diffed by one. Imagine that.

They way I look at things Marco, Doffy, Vista and Jozu are all high-tiers. Luffy himself is a low end high-tier. Top-Tiers are the strongest in the world, ie; Yonkou, Admiral, etc. They should all be able to defeat each other with extreme diff, imo. Either you're a Top-tier or you're not. Therefore, by my standards, if Luffy is suddenly Top-tier then this battle shouldn't be much of a mismatch, should it? It literally made me cringe seeing several people calling Luffy a serious top tier the other day. So I decided to make a post about it to see who else thought that way.

Interesting, every where I go there's just G4 underestimation but whatever.

We haven't even seen Luffy master G4 but people can seemingly look into the future I guess.

I like the way you look at tiers though, Yonko, Admiral, the legends, only those guys should be considered Top tiers.

You're right to an extent. Within tiers there is still fluctuation. If you can damage someone or make them exert enough energy to the point its a high diff fight, you belong in the same tier. The people in the same tier are threats to each other, Marco would be a threat to an Admiral because the Admiral would have to be real serious. What I'm saying is if you can make someone go full on serious, you belong in the same tier as them.

Only reason I saw Fuji vs Shanks is a possible very high diff fight instead of extreme is because Shanks is arguably the strongest character in the show while Fuji is a relatively new Admiral and its been hinted that his powers are new. I feel the two new Admirals might be slightly weaker than the older trio since they obviously weren't the first options when it came to the selection, they needed two spots filled after Aokiji's and Akainu's departure from the regular Admiral seat. This either means they weren't strong enough to be in the Admiral spot over Kizaru Akainu and Aokiji, or they recently grew strong enough.

And this might be a bit of a boost, but the fact that Fujitora couldn't do anything about the birdcage but push it like any other fodder, really didn't look good.
