Why didnt the Uchiha's use Izanagi during the Massacre?

The Uchihas that got massacred probably didn't have MS which is needed to use Izanagi and even if they did Itachi solo blitzed them before they even knew it was coming.

Transcription seal is an MS tech? Even then, they don't have to immediately come back do they Madara was dead for several days or weeks before Izanagi kicked in.

you don't need MS to perform Izanagi, it's strictly a 3T technique that renders the eye blind after using it.

But they knew they were in danger why did no one use transcription seal Izanagi?

1. Not every Uchiha gets the Sharingan
2. Not every Uchiha knew of Izanagi as that was way in the past
