Can we talk about this "Gon & Neferpitou" Scene plz?

Fail post! Gon knew Kite since he was six years old! Kite saved him from a foxbear attack and Kite is the one who inspired Gon to become a hunter in the first place, and is also the one who told Gon that Ging was a hunter.

Watched HxH 3 times and I have to restrain myself to not watch it a fourth time.
If Togashi doesn't want to draw the manga then that's OK, it's a very demanding job and he probably has enough money(swimming in that Sailor Moon money), but he could at least give the story and concept are to the animation studio. I have read the manga and it isn't as appealing as the anime. I don't really see what the big deal is. Must be a pride thing :/

Not really it was his Aunt Mito or what he prefers calling Mother who told Gon that, get your facts straight man. Secondly Gon saw Kite and was saved by him there and that whole scene I don't think they talked longer than 10mins. Then Gon sees him years later and then they go on a mission then Gon wants to save him?? As far as friendship goes I don't think someone you've met on two different occasions in a span of years can be considered a dear friend which you may risk your life for. That honour is for Killua... They did so many things together. Although if I wanted too I could point immature actions Gon took like when Killua was forced by Illumi to go home...

Funny, I was pretty sure Gon , Netero and the others went on a mission to save the world against men eating monsters. So he wants to kill the abominations? Big deal.
So what if it lasted only a few moments? He learned that his father isn't dead and Kite is one of Ging's disciples. Not to mention, he saved his life as well. Also, did you forget? Gon felt responsible over Kite's death. We see him go through a breakdown before he transformed:

And for that is why I say Gon is as stupid as most shounen characters. If not more. The friendship he had with Kite was weak and as Girl-Kite said Gon shouldn't have blamed himself because Kite died because he was weak to defeat Pitou.
So stop talking like as if Gon is a special kind of shounen character, because he isn't
Gon is probably one of the youngest mainstream shonen characters, so I don't really expect him to be make rational decisions or be intelligent. I just think the development he gets is really interesting to see in a shonen but Gon's character isn't something that special. I never claimed he was special or even implied such things.

That was one of the best scenes in anime history. I'm so glad that HxH's anime was made by a quality anime studio and not some sub par one that does most of the other shounen I like.
Please what? He knew him since he was 10 years old. Gon at this point is halfway 13 years old. He knew him since over 3 years ago.
Also Kite was the one who told him that Ging is still alive and that he's his master. He's the greatest hunter that ever was. He inspired Gon to become a Hunter and even left him a special hunter's license to take the Hunter Exams if he wishes to. Kite SAVED HIS LIFE. We wouldn't have seen Gon if Kite didn't come to rescue him.
Also Gon was blaming himself for Kite's death. That's why he went to take revenge. He WASN'T EXACTLY TAKING REVENGE. He was going to SAVE KITE. HE didn't want to take revenge until he knew that Kite died.

I love when people complain about something and think they are so right, while actually being so wrong.
Kite and Gon's relationship isn't hard to get and to know why Gon did that for him is so understandable.

^That's just Gon's character. Plus Togashi only made him simple character so other characters stand out.
