Prodigy my ass by Uchiha standards! He had one goal in mind when he was a kid. Be strong like Itachi and impress father. that kind of "motivation" is all that it took to push him to work harder to master fire jutsu within a week. If that's still prodigy, then Naruto is a prodigy too because all he needed was motivation(become stronger than Sasuke) to get where he is now.
