Storm series always had top notch animation without the doubt however many people believe it's going to be much worth it in the game than the anime however here's some problem I have with the game . It's not gonna live up the hype because when it comes to animated cut scene it's mainly consisted of heavy dialogues, flashback, or just sprinkle of actions but when it comes to full blown fights, we had to play through the VS match in order to process the sub plot.
Fights in the animated cut scene tend to usually last 1-3 minute and the only time I can remember that last longer which to be consider "full action pack" is Hashirama vs Madara. Shiushi Uchiha comes close second because of all the fodders ninja he had to deal with to the point he use susanoo however I'm not too fond that everytime I had to play vs matchup to get every 2 minute cutscene which I find it annoying.
My guess here is in the scene Gai will open 8th gate and just when he was about to clash Madara we had to play the game and then after that, we will see few sparring until both gets exhaustion then Gai will use Night Guy and then we had to play once more until Madara loses HP bar which brings to the final cutscene with Gai delivering final blow against Madara and then Naruto and Sasuke stepped in which ended Gai vs Madara scene.
See where I'm getting at?? It's not gonna be blown fight and if we're getting it, it's mostly likely going to be CGI scenes like Storm 3.
Today episode, there's alot of misconception about the quality within the fight between Gai vs Madara was garbage art/animation but in all actuality it was pretty decent in animation standard just that the Animation staff don't bother putting much effort as it should've been which was too underwhelming and disappointing, but it wasn't bad it was only slight above average.
