The difference between the radical left and SJWs is clear as day.The latter identifies as social progressives while the other identifies as liberal. You're comparing Internet warriors, who have no political power, to the radical right, which has a monopoly over a good portion of the US, and had perpetuated real problems for a long time. You're whole argument is based on a group's misguided opinion and anecdotal actions. The difference is the radical right has implemented policies and systems that have harmed multiple states and people.
"Radicalizing and poisoning the minds of the next generation" Wow, that's very ironic. I can't properly describe of the culture here, but I described it well enough in my earlier post.
You've been complaining about SJW (I hate this word btw) this whole thread and now you're saying they don't identify as leftist. So what's the deal with radical leftists, then?
Riker explained it best
Also you're complaining about isolated cases.
Oh man. This last part. See, this is another thing that you don't understand. Wanting the confederate flags to come down from state capital grounds does not equal wanting to pretend the civil war never happened. That's a dumb notion. The confederate battle flag (note not the CSA flag) was only popularized way after the civil war during the 50s and 60s, and it was popularized by radical right politicians no less. For example, the South Carolina governor only built that monument as a spit in the face of the civil rights movement. Many southern black people are offended by the confederate flag because it's like a spit in the face to them. Not only does it represent opposition to the civil rights movement, it represents an illegitimate country whose whole economy was based on the forced labor of black people. If you can't empathize a little with the people who were subjugated for so long, it shows where your priorities lie.
I've noticed a huge problem with people, especially conservatives, practicing revisionist history when it comes to the civil war, and this is perpetuated by radical right news outlets who validate their dumbass opinions by spreading misinformation like saying the war was fought over tariffs or states rights. This is only reinforced by the Texas politicians wanting to revise school curriculum.
This is like saying Tea Party supporters are Republicans, they may have joint interests but that's it.
The Civil War was started because the South wanted to secede from the Union, unlike the current story about it being due to slavery. Also it was Democrats or Dixiecrats that originally opposed the civil rights movement back then, which is something they don't teach you in history class.
If removing the Confederate flag is alright, then what's stopping people from removing parts of history?Once you start censoring things like that then it's a slippery slope.
