So i had a theory.Sasuke might have told Suigetsu to tell Sarada that Karin is her mom to get her to awaken the mangekyou sharingan due to high psychological stress.That's why people are telling lies to her about her true mother.

... He did awaken it then lol. That was shown in the manga. But he never knew he had it or was able to use it until the fight with Zabuza & Haku.

Same thing happened to Kakashi with the mangekyou. He actually awakened when rin died along with Obito. But never was able to utilize it until his training during the 3 year time gap.

Nevermind. I was thinking the regular sharingan not the mangekyou. The manga showed Sasuke awakening the sharingan the night he found his family slaughtered.
