In the sense of being previously forbidden, yes, they are similar, otherwise, no. There is nothing wrong with interracial marriage/relationships, those can result in reproduction just fine, the only thing some people might have a problem with is mixing races, which is pretty damn stupid. Gay marriage/relationships on the other hand, can't possibly result in reproduction, and is/are therefore, pointless, as the point of a relationship is ultimately reproduction anyway; "love" isn't an excuse either, as most animals don't feel "love" in the same sense as we do, and yet, sexual relationships between two males still happens from time to time, it can't be for pleasure either, as only humans (and dolphins, I believe) have *** for pleasure, nor could anything in their environment possibly result in their homosexuality, so it isn't psychological. My point is, I believe that homosexuality is a disease, and should be treated as such; People should be striving to find a cure for it, not accept it. So no, you can't simply compare a disease to people of different races who marry each other.
