Yes! That's exactly it. I can respect someone who disagrees with homosexuality due to religion, since it's their faith, as long as they remember the parts that tell them to be loving and respectful.

But also people must realize that the majority of people against gays aren't actually kind religious folk who just live by the bible, it's homophobic people who have hate for gays for being different, and use the bible as an excuse to discriminate them.

Anyways, I don't see why they can't be compared. That's just bs from people who don't want to be seen in the same light as gays, but it should be clear that they are similar situations.

Ill just repeat what I said before, things only become acceptable once the norms change. All types of horrors we're legal and acceptable because the norms considered it as such. Just compare medieval times to now for clear differences in norms.
