I just noticed that there are Red and White flags during the Chunnin Exams, in the new trailer. But what is the meaning of the flags?

Probably each team has a different colour and they have to collect as many colours as possible? Or they need to protect their flags from other teams? Or they need to get the Red ones? I don't know. What are your thoughts about it?
