I know everybody swears by Viz translations but I think they made a mistake.
Law's attack "Shambles":
In the VIZ and FUNimation translations, it is called Chambres, which is French for "rooms".
I know what you're thinking(maybe) Room makes sense since his other attack is Room.
But the definition of shambles;
a state of total disorder
or
A scene or condition of complete disorder or ruin
Great clutter or jumble; a total mess
makes much more sense to what the technique actually does. The attack doesn't put people in rooms within the Room, no, it causes a great deal of chaos as Law uses it to detach and reattach people's limbs as he wants, it let's him switch personalities leading to chaos and confusion. Plus when someone says something is in shambles it's usually used when something is broken into a bunch of tiny pieces, much like the first showing of the skill in the manga.
Opinions, did Viz pick a bad name?
