I was waiting for someone to make this comment. What manga before DB has as many smililar ideas? Of course one or two would be generic to all shounen. I have been reading DB for years. It's set president for all other anime and manga. DB is 30 years old. Everything big came after it.

Kishi stated many times that he took inspiration from Akira who was his childhood idol. Akira was praised for his originality. But everyone has to take inspiration from somewhere

One or two may be generic. Show me a manga from 30 years ago that has every one of these? Akira has been praised for his originality by all those who came after him. No one is immune to influence. And influence isn't a bad thing. But show the man some credit.
