Hagoromo exemplified his teachings by distributing chakra meant to "connect" people's spiritual energies with one another. It would allow people to understand each other without communication and pray for one another's safety. However, people didn't use the chakra to connect with others, but to instead connect their inner spiritual and physical energies together.

To be more correct, the forehead poke episode, amongst others, helped Sarada realizing her feelings for Sakura, regardless who she may think is uer biological mother..and that love "cured" Sarada; I quite liked seeing those memories.

Still, Naruto did help Sarada to focus and not let the momentary anger and confusion to influence her, that's clear.
