Unexpectedly and to a certain degree unbelievably, reaching the state of clarity in her mind by placing herself in lots position got her to unlocking a new sense. An odd sensation expanded through her body, both on the inside and outside. Slowly opening her eyes she could notice fume spreading around. Slightly she raised her right eyebrow, yet trying to keep her facial expression calm. It wasn't easiest of the tasks as before her a blue-hued, sphere-like creature stood. It was floating in the air. A small sword strapped around it.

''Huh....''

She muttered in amazement.

''So is that your Genki?''

She continued. Lowering her voice down, almost talking to her chin as only those really close to her could hear her she modulated.

''It looks almost fragile.''

Chapter II, New Life

The shadows were getting darker, bigger and wider. The sun was starting to set, and so the dusk had announced its entrance of the day. The lot of could-be runaways, cowards, brave men, patriots or simply adventures stood gathered in the formation of a circle in middle of the meadow. But they were no longer just that, they had achieved a piece of knowledge, made an oath and had now become a full-fledged member of the Katsuryoku. They were now brothers and sisters, kinsmen.

In the middle of the circle stood Amaimon Katsuryoku, along with a floating sphere that was supposedly a Genki, which had now become percievable by the newer members, as they had gained a secondary awareness of the world around them. Not only so, but they had gained the ability to sense one another. Had they closed their eyes, they would know their approximate location. But alas, this was not all, in the darkness they could percieve small bulbs of littering lights in the darkness, signifying the souls of all living.

It came to Amaimon's attention that he had forgotten to mention something.
''Now, now. You may be experiences some changes by now. Your secondary awareness, or Aura sensing as I did like to name it, is starting to kick in. Don't allow it to overload your precious minds. It can put quite a toll on the unprepared. You should focus on us, in the circle of gathering and try to shut out of the rest, so I can further explain how we will go on about.''

Waiting momentarily, he observed should anyone have trouble with the cause.. He then proceeded.

''For your questions, this is Amidamaru. He is as you may have guessed a Genki. He or she, or if I should be more correct, 'it' is not only a Genki, but also my personal companion as I did like. He however only carry generic traits that pertains to all Genki. Such relation should become accessible for you later on, should you carry a proper mindset to socialize constantly.'' The Head grimaced at his companion which simply stared back in confusion.
''........ o_o''
''.....''

......

''I can't believe it, you finally shut it when you're visible. You shy cat!''
''..... >_>'..''
He sighs in disbelief after having pointingly accused his Genki.
''Nevermind.. How, how are you feeling? Should you feel comfortable, you may try to expand your Aura Sensing outwards furthering the ranges of your sensing..''

The surprise subsided ever so slowly. As he regained his composure his eyes remained locked with the shy Genki. The cat had caught both his tongue and Alexander's as he was at a complete loss of words. Breaking eye contact and shaking his head back and forth to reclaim his own state of mind Alexander listened to his master. Aura sensing is what it is called? Nice name. Alexander thought to himself. He certainly did feel different. The shock and surprise had subsided leaving him in a state of higher clarity. Not only could he see the Genki but he could also feel its presence nearby. Should he close his eyes the presence would remain with him. It was somewhat overwhelming to him at first. His heart quickened as this realization struck and set in. Eyes widening and breathing quickening it was almost clear he was having a minor panic attack. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath in and reassured himself. He had come this far. Nothing would push him back now. "It is certainly overwhelming, but manageable. It isn't everyday one has a new sense awakened in them." He replied in a matter of fact way to Amaimon.

Putting himself back in lotus position Alexander began to meditate again upon his elder's instruction. He desired his own personal companion some day but to do that it would take work. Hard work. And he wouldn't give up. Closing his eyes he began to return into his trance like state except this time with a new sense in addition to his basic ones. Closing his eyes meant nothing now. He could not only sense the presence of the single Genki but could also begin to sense his companions life forces surrounding him. It was an incredible and exhilarating sensation. But at the moment, it was quite limited. He could only feel them in the immediate vicinity. Continuing to drop himself into his meditative trance Alexander pushed the boundaries of this limitation widening himself to the world around him. Finally he reached that trance yet again despite the addition of a new sense. He could no longer see as his eyes were closed. He could no longer hear, smell, or feel as he was too far in his trance for these senses. He was only left with his aura sensing. Before him his companions and genki. Further out were the plants and their own life forces. He began to recognize their location relative to his own.

Yoruichi listens to what Amaimon has to say next about their new ability that he had helped them unlock, she closed her eyes, the many flames of life that she could sense kept lighting up, adding more lights. As amaimon said she should try to shut these off so it was only focused on us within the circle of the Katsuryoku. So she focused, concentrating on the flames that matter in her head, and then one by one the other's went out until she could only picture the flames in her immediate vicinity. She then opened her eyes and let out a large breath, at least her mind wouldn't overload.

"You say 'her or she' and 'it', so do Genki have no gender? Even though you named him to be a Man."

The cat had caught both his tongue and Alexander's as he was at a complete loss of words.

As they stood in the circle Kirikoe could feel the aura of everyone next to him, Yoroichi, Alexander and even Amaimon himself, not just them however he could feel all the Genki around him and all those who had life, it was a lot to take in and feel all at once, it gave him a slight headache and he would gently rub his head, after Amaimon explained more he suggested focusing only on those within the circle, taking the advice not a moment too soon he did just that and closed his eyes, concentrating on the radiant lights that were next to him and in front of him, eventually all the others were drowned out and the pain in his head began to ease, however this was still not an easy feat, it took a lot of mental power to be able to do so.

Opening his eyes once again and looking back towards his sensei he would listen closer as he spoke, the pain had become virtually non existent and it bothered Kirikoe none.

"Heh" Kirikoe chuckled as Amaimon made his little rant, of course if you show him off like such he would get shy, he would think to himself "I see a nice companion to have ^_^, I look forward to the day that I meet one that gets along with me well." he spoke towards Amaimon

Kirikoe's mind began wandering again picking up other aura's however as he slowly expanded his awareness it took less toll on his mind, gradually his mind was becoming more accustomed to the senses he had unlocked.

And so it seems it was the first encounter with a Genki as the House Leader confirmed, it was exactly that. Something she was anticipating for a good while now. Kinda strange and surprising was his note of the Genki not being either a man or a woman but rather an it. Carefully the Drow listened and as he continued on with his talk, he explained about the inner capability each of us carry or should. Aura Sensing. Quite unique it was, she taught to herself. Especially what it allowed. Being capable of observing the presence of existence but keeping some of their senses shut.

Trying to yet again reach the similar state as before however now with awareness of what is she suppose to expect she took a lotus position. This time around she kept in mind Amaimon's words. Altough she wasn't too keen on them, she wanted to see the full potential of the ability but she also kept in mind that it could take quite a tool on her. With her eye lids slowly closing a small wisp of hair fall onto her visage. As her body yet once again reached the state of nonchalanty and her thoughts became composed she managed. The area all around her became colorless, however with each moment small fire like tufts arouse from each living thing. And as her sensing radius reached further, more and more of them were combusted.

Upon sensing Amidamaru, Vex's awareness expanded and it seemed as if an entire world suddenly appeared around them. Vex's new areness threatened to overwhelm him, but little by little he got used to it. Vex eventually became able to focus, and to expand his aura sensing even further around them so that he was able to see a new host of genki. They looked quite strange, some were animals or people, but others looked like deformed blobs.

I continued to relax and block out any further speaking from my brethren in the immediate area. With my eyes closed, i meditated and put focus into expanding my new found sensing, stretching the aura further and further around the area as the time passed. At this point i knew i wasn't a master of the art or an adept user, though i had gotten a decent feel for the sensing as a whole.

''I prefer the masculine gender, should I choose. <.<'' Amidmaru protested as Cat made her dubious statement.
''Now you talk...'' Amaimon sighed in distress, but alas, straigtened up again.
''Now that you're getting more adapt to the feeling, the awareness, and overall sensing capabilities, allow me to capitalize on the fact that what you're sensing is purely spiritual energy. This will technically enable you to sense all sentient being with a spiritual sort of energy. Chakra is the product of impure spiritual energy, thus this sort of sensing does not allow for Chakra sensing, but solely on the spiritual aspect.
A companion is something you find along the way, a Genki which can occur tame, or have gained a tasting for your chakra signature. If any of you've heard of Kisame Hoshigaki *Waves bingo book around.* His sentient sword found a taste of his chakra, and thus became entrusted to him. Yes, Genki feed on chakra, but to precise, it's solely the spiritual aspect of the chakra, while the Genki would simply decompose of the physical energy.''

He held a brief pause.

''Genki are oft persuaded through the offering of chakra, to do our bidding. Now, this sacrifice if you would, that we make, sometimes demands more than so. That you will have to experience yourself later on.'' Tihihi O^O
''But for now, before we expand on the ultilization of Ethereal energy, we will have to pratice, and make perfection of your emotions. Emotions is a thing that we, the Katsu, have to be masters of. It is essential for Genki persuasion. Genki will not solely depend on your chakra disposal, but also your conviction, which we emphasis on heavily. When we're done you will be able to feel pain, agony, love, anxiety, but all and each at your own volition.''

Amaimon spread out his arms, for each of you to remain in your lotus positioning.

''A wise man once told me; "We do not learn from experience, we learn from reflecting on experience." It essential to reflect, know, and feel yourself. Why should someone be influenced by you, and your acts? What is the extra value that you could provide, once they are? And last, why would you be influenced by yourself?
Does it seem confusing? Well, it's important to be withstanding, things that help building conviction help you understand yourself, and why you do certain actions. Allow me to explain; Why would somebody be influenced by me? Well, I have their best interest at heart. Then they may ask why, and I proceed; I can relate to be put on the spot, where to not know how to handle the moment. They may ask how, and I proceed; As I too, have tried things outside of my safezone, where I would much rather be, and not loose face.
Building a conviction means to know your fears, your weakness and strengths. Once you know them, indulge them and remove their cloudings from your mind and soul. Throw them in the bin, you know when you will have to feel a certain emotion, but you also know when to hold it back. The further you ask yourself for answers, the deeper you reach for the core and thus will reach your inner conviction. Mind you, to each our own.''

With that, Amaimon snapped his fingers, and Amidamaru asked if it was time. The Voice nodded in approval, and a sack came forth in a plume of smoke. It hit the ground and the tied knot atop went loose and rations fell onto the ground.
''This excercise requires time. I'll be resting at Wolf's Toenail.'' Amaimon appointed an opening in the mountain's foot which went deep inside the mountain. His cape carrying the sigil of the Katsuryoku - The everlasting knot swayed in the wind as he turned. Muffled sounds of how Amidamaru was being awkward was heard before the noises became too distant to be heard.

So the genki needs some sort of consolation for working with us. The first option we have is befireinding the genki, and yet even this may not be enough sometimes. Thus we have to sacrifice some other medium to the genki so that they help us during battle. Furthermore, the user becomes able to have a strong will-power in order to forcefully control these genki.
Thus, Vex would need to purge the negative emotions from his mind, and leave only pure will power in his mind. So, Vex would sit on the ground legs crossed and palms facing upwards. His index finger ,and thumb touching and forming a circular shape. Vex calms his breathing, and makes it more regular. With each breath out, Vex visualized a negative emotion flow out of his body in the form of a red wisp. fear, anger, hate each was released from his conscious mind. With each outward breath, Vex relaxed more and more. Vex's mind soon began to clear, and with the emergence of his positive emotions such as Willpower, and Hope, Vex's mind strengthened. His conviction became greater, and as he opened his eyes there was a new determination lurking behind them. Slowly, Vex stood and walked to the mouth of the cave.

Muffled sounds of how Amidamaru was being awkward was heard before the noises became too distant to be heard.
Remaining seated as Amaimon walked into the distance Alexander cleared his head for a third time. He began to delve deep into his mind keeping the distractions of his surroundings out. Despite ignoring the basic senses of his surroundings he could still quite clearly feel the surrounding spiritual energy. As Amaimon had said - he could clearly sense life. He sensed his comrades. He sensed the flowers, the birds, the trees, and in the distance even other humans. He could even sense other Genki within the area. With this new found focus he turned his mind inward on himself. This was something he commonly did. He wasn't much for talking or arguing. Alexander often just allowed himself to focus inward and remain safely in the confines of his own mind. It was something he did often and it brought him both comfort and discomfort - depending on what was on his mind at the time.

Reminding himself of what Amaimon had said Alexander began to look at himself in a new light. Why should people follow and listen to me? Why should I even listen to myself? The words echoed through his mind. The very thought actually made him uncomfortable. He didn't know how to respond to himself. Alexander was a timid man by nature. He had been since he was very young. His father nearly killed him and had killed his mother. Who wouldn't be timid after that? Continuing his stream of thought Alexander realized one different facet of his personality that was somewhat out of the ordinary and what one wouldn't expect for a timid young man - he questioned things. Alexander, despite being timid, would constantly question the norm, the status quo, the average. He pushed for change and could sympathize for those that. Why does Alexander question the norm, however? What pushes him to fight for it. In his mind he could only arrive at one answer - because he cared for those he fought for. Because he wanted the best possible outcome for them - not for himself.

As the realizations came to him his will power began to build. It gave him a new clarity of mind. A surge of inner strength welled within his gut as his eyes snapped open after his realizations. The uncomfortable feelings that had been built within him due to the flaws of his personality had dispersed and were replaced with a surge of confidence. But it also gave him something new - a sort of nothingness. Suddenly his emotions were tamed. He could still feel them. But they were far less erratic. As his eyes opened he tried something new....Amaimon had mentioned being able to exercise his own volition over his emotions. To throw them to the side should he wish. With a simple thought he willed for his emotions to be replaced by nothingness - a certain nihility. And in that moment he took complete control of his inner emotions. He wasn't afraid. He wasn't angry. He wasn't excited. He wasn't surprised. He was simply nothing. And in that moment he stood from his seat in silence and walked toward Wolf's Toenail.

Kirikoe listened closely as his sensei spoke, it confused him slightly but he understood, basically we must understand ourselves before mastering ourselves and our emotions, closing his eyes once again he cleared his mind, the area of his sensory capabilities widened as he could feel the aura of every living thing in the surrounding area, however this in itself was to much of a distraction and focusing harder Kirikoe pulled in the circle of his sensory abilities to the point he could feel only himself.

He breathed deeply, in, out, in and out again, eventually Kirikoe entered a trance and he delved into his own being, the questions asked resounded within him, Why should someone be influenced by myself, and my acts? What is the extra value that I could provide, once they are? And last, why would I be influenced by myself?

These questions were complicated for Kirikoe and he did not fully graps there meaning. Why should someone be influenced by myself and my acts? Because my acts are honest and just, my intentions are pure and I act on what I believe in.

What extra value could I provide? My knowledge and my abilities could be considered valuable. My love and care, could be considered valuable. Value is measured by different people. If I was to ask myself I would say my martial abilities and knowledge.

Why should I be influenced by myself? Kirikoe was unsure on this one still he thought deeply about it and could only think of one thing. If I am not influenced by myself then who should I be influenced by? Yourself is the only person who you can truly trust from the very beginning, why should you not be influenced by yourself?

after a lot of time searching his inner self and going through his own strengths and weaknesses, Kirikoes willpower and emotions strengthened, his control over his own being increased along with it thus gaining control over his emotions, he opened his eyes, no emotion showed whatsoever, he merely stood up and walked towards the wolfs toenail, He could see that Alexander was also on his way to the same place, remaining silent and resolute he entered the cave closely after Alexander.

Yoruichi let slip a little laugh when Amidamaru responded to her, causing Amaimon to quip at him. The first thing that sprung to mind when Amaimon explained to them what the Genki's conditions were, that even they had some form of hunger and desire was that they weren't stupid - they get what they want in the end. Genki's had some form of human nature whether they admitted it or not.

However before all that, Amaimon talked about the taming of emotions before leaving. Yoruichi stood up as he walked away and looked around at her fellow Katsuryoku members, she herself had never been one to be indecisive and her emotions were usually always controlled - however she did rely on fun a lot, even when in danger. She believed that she had some sort of presence, if anyone here struggled with that control then she would try and help calm them if needs be, she was already pretty calm, though she did have the urge to jump on Akasha and Kirikoe.

Alexander and Kirikoe seemed eager, it hadn't been long and the two had gotten up and walked in the direction Amaimon was going. Yoruichi stayed however, she waited for the other's. She wanted to be there if they needed help, even though it was about their own sole emotions, it would make her feel better that everyone here was content with themselves, even though this was for everyone's personal benefit - it was still a team task.

She crouches down to the rations and looks through them, taking a piece of bread and chews on it. "Eating helps relax, if you guys need some don't be afraid, they are for us after all."

A bit of surprise took over me before being drowned out by my new found excitement.

"IT SPOKE!!!"

I found myself shouting the words that were in my head when the Genki murmured..... his... words. I quickly shut my mouth and shot my eyes around the circle to see the reactions of the others. I couldn't have been the only one to be so excited about this. I continued to listen to Amaimon, taking in the information he had to offer. He then spoke of emotions and learning about one's inner self. It was a bit confusing to be honest, but for the sake of it i would at least make an attempt at what he wanted.
He had asked why someone would be influenced by me? Shit that was a tough one. I didn't care much about influencing others to follow me. If i did want someone to follow me I'd say the main influence would be my immense will to keep learning more and more about this world, which meant the least amount of betrayal or death had to happen. In my eyes i saw the world as a place that could be much better if everyone shared knowledge and helped one another learn and grow. Losing lives simply means the loss of knowledge seeing as everyone takes at least one secret to the grave with them.
What value did this hold though? I thought for a minute on the question only to realise that it held infinite value seeing as i valued everything in this world so would gladly put my life on the line to protect what i valued.
The hardest question was how would i influence myself? The only answer i could think of was because i myself knew how much i valued this world as a whole, so it would be easy to follow that influence without a second thought in mind.

After realising my inner self i started to one by one block out my emotions and feelings, focusing purely on myself. Once my emotions were completely put to the side, and i thought i had progressed enough in my inner thoughts, i made my way to the wolf's toe nail as Amaimon wanted. Sucky name but cool looking place. o_O

The clarity of mind was yet once again interrupted. This time around by the House Leader's Genki. However, the leader continued upon interruption to further explain the inner workings. Akasha's vision was locked on his lips, paying close attention to the words he spoke. The energy that we are sensing, was in fact the spiritual part of chakra. Hence the ability to sense all that is constituted of it. Another thing that caught her attention is actually that Genki feed on chakra, however not from all parts of it but rather just the spiritual one.

His words got her thinking further. Emotions. Being the complete commander of your emotions is what will allow you to be able to work hand to hand with Genki. She knew it wasn't something easy but at the same time it was the key factor to a good cooperation. Then further his questions... Why should one be influenced by me? My Acts? What could I even provide? Why should I be influenced by myself? Perhaps it would be due to passion and impulsiveness. And although she knew that overall she looked like an malicious wench, it wasn't something that comprehensively described her. She knew at heart that for those who she had fondness of she would go over and beyond. Their interests would become hers as well. It was something that lead her. She had a very good understanding of solitude and others around her and she knew that she wouldn't like to see others found in that situation. It was an atrocious state of mind.

As if something inside of her was born. A new state of mind unlocked. The understanding. She opened her eyes, and at the first glance she could notice most almost disappearing in the distance. The cat was still standing in close proximety. ''Let's go'' she modulated as she started to stroll towards the Wolf's Toenail.

Yoruichi grinned when Akasha opened her eyes with confidence, as she strolled off towards the direction Amaimon went. She crouched down a little, an aura of a tail start to whip in the air behind her, he lips curled up like a cat and she leaped into the air with a little rawr. She jumped onto Akasha's back and wrapped her arms around her neck to hand on, pressing her cheek against her cheek.

"Relaaaax, he said we should be in control but that doesn't mean we have to be serious all the time."

Reaching the entrance of Wolf's Toenail, an immense force of dread - Decay falls upon your shoulder. The lingering atompshere that changed its demeanor ever so quick the moment one of you stepped to the entrace - It paralysed you. It kept you from entering. Images of past and future visions told of gruesome acts that made you bend the knee and back away from the entrance.

Was your resolve not enough? Who knew. Had you not completed your task? Who knew, nobody knew...

As Kirikoe walked towards the Wolfs Toenail, he watched as Alexander stopped in his tracks at the entrance, he slowly backed away, Kirikoe couldn't understand why, he was unsure as to why he would not proceed into the cave, Kirikoe went to pass him, as he stepped his foot into the caves entrance dread would suddenly envelop him, visions would enter his mind and he would also slowly back away from the cave.. it was unusual.. did Kirikoe not complete his task properly?

He would proceed to walk back to where he was and once again take up the lotus position, going through everything once again, focusing his spirit inwards and trying to understand himself completely, perhaps he only got half way the first time, as he recalled his sensei did say that this would take some time... Kirikoe would proceed to go through the questions, strengths and weaknesses among other things inside himself once again whiles taking up the lotus position.

Dread, slight nausea, and an invisible "force" of sorts had taken over the surroundings. I attempted to walk through the path even after seeing the others fail right before me and now it had felt as if i had no control over how my body acted. I suddenly found myself taking a couple of steps backwards away from the entrance, while visions of both the past and future overloaded my brain. What was this exactly? What was happening? Why was it happening? I say Kirikoe simply leave, but i don't think starting from where we were was the right answer to such a situation. Me, i got as close to the entrance as possible, then sat down in a criss crossed style. The moment i say down i simply closed my eyes like before and began meditating on the situation.

As Vex reached wolf's toenail, an invisible and immeasurable force confronted him and halted his progress. He began to feel nauseous and, in fact, was physically paralyzed. Overwhelming images from Vex's past, his future, began to take root within his mind. They spread the seeds of doubt, of fear. And yet, Vex was strong. Where others would have given up, Vex surged his chakra, continuously spiking it while focusing on the task. It helped distract him from the pain, and as he did this, he'd radiate his own will. His will power, physically manifested as his chakra would radiate from his body in waves of killing intent. However, he wasn't radiating images of death, but rather images of his own victory. The images empower him, overcoming the fear and force stopping him from entering. Images of himself being able to enter the Wolf's Toenail rain supreme as eventually his visions become reality. He enters the cave, gazing around to look for Amaimon.

(Sakki) - Killing Intent
Rank: D - S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: N/A
Description: Killing Intent pertains to the ability of the user giving off their pure killing intention and having it affect their opponent and others around them up to the point of paralyzing them. When the Killing Intent is particularly strong, it can even give the victim visions of their own gruesome death, nausea, pain, etc. This can cause the Killing Intent to be confused with a genjutsu, despite not being a genjutsu at all; simply a showcase of intention and power. The target will feel as if facing an overwhelming enemy and, even if not a sensor, will suddenly feel the pressure of the users chakra and its magnitude, making the effect that much more dramatic. To effectively be used, the user needs to focus on his target and concentrate on the killing intent towards it, meaning that one must see the target and be focused on it. The strength of the Killing Intent is dependent on many factors and go through several levels. If a difference in rank smaller than 2 ranks exist, the enemy will feel only the pressure and the ominous presence of their dark intentions. Its enough to lose your grasp on a weapon or stay clinched to it (depending on the situation) or even to hesitate in an attack, stumble or mess up a handseal, all depending on the situation and proximity. The effect is small and normally not that significant but can be effectively used to pressure enemies into making a mistake. If a difference of 2 ranks or more exist, the enemy will be frozen, almost unable to move as the overwhelming killing intent dominates their own conscious and riddles them with nightmarish versions of death. The paralyzation gradually weakens as time passes and can only be maintained while the user is focused on the target. The further away the target, the weaker it is and it can only fully paralyze a target within short range. Similarly, the more targets one focuses on, the weaker the effect is in each one (divinding the effects equally between the number of targets). Lastly, the stronger the user is in relation to the target, the stronger the effect will be. The target can counter Killing Intent directed at it through pain, "mind cleansing" techniques or their own Killing Intent.
Note: Intensity of technique depends on the rank of the user, distance to target and number of targets one is focusing on
Note: Can only be used once
Note: Lasts only while the user is focusing on it and while focusing on it the user can't mold chakra
