It's not the pairings that are the problem with the Naruto manga, it's the pairing FANS that are the problem.

I think it would have been a little better..Not 100% because of the many other flaws the manga has.Like I don't see why the hardcore pairing fans couldn't just read romance manga or some shojo.
I find it funny that OP didn't get any likes, while Immortal says the exact same thing and gets the likes XD10x times better![]()
I suppose it's more about ship teasing than actual pairings: the whole "Who will end up with who" thing, with Kishi intentionally giving hints, including misleading ones. Those are what causes the most stir in fandoms.
Every good story has romance, its part of the formula to a successful story so I don’t understand way? A few people would deny Naruto a chance of Him having the things that other characters get in their lives. Would you also deny are real person their chance at romance too? Do we not all deserve a chance at romance?
I disagree. The fans, the fans who get so riled up and angry about it, are a huge part, but not the entire problem. Some of the parings in the world of Naruto are poorly written or weren't handled the best.
I think we all would agree, but I think a lot of people would take a well written romance or no romance at all over a horribly written one.

Maybe because I like Sakura so they probably though I was a tard,I find it funny that OP didn't get any likes, while Immortal says the exact same thing and gets the likes XD
It would be worse without them.
Main characters like sakura, side characters like hinata, and antagonists like obito. lose their meaning, leaving us with multiple tentens.
We already have 2(1010 herself and shino) let's not make it 6.

Wouldnt make a difference because they are just side things and don't interfere with the actual plot
Gaiden and those kids wouldn't exist. Pairings affected the manga at the end

I don't see how it would have been better at all seeing as how pairings didn't really affect the plot that much. I can literally count on two hands the number of times pairings affected the plot.
1. NaruHina: Hinata told Naruto a secret about the byakugan's blind spot which helped Naruto beat Neji in the chuunin exams.
2. SasuSaku: Sakura stopped Sasuke from giving in to the curse mark during the chunin exams 2nd exam.
3.SasuSaku: Sakura tried to stop Sasuke from leaving Konoha, but failed. This led to Sakura telling those two chunin about Sasuke leaving, who then told Tsunade, which led to the Sasuke retrieval mission (it also led to Naruto's promise to bring Sasuke back).
4. NaruHina: Hinata confessed to Naruto, and by getting stabbed, she fueled enough rage into Naruto to get Kurama to go on a rampage which was very important to that battle.
5.SasuSaku: Sakura tried to kill Sasuke alone which ultimately led to the team 7 reunion after Sasuke killed Danzou.
6. NaruHina: After Neji died, Hinata encouraged Naruto to keep fighting and not give into Obito's words (which would have doomed the alliance if he had given in).
7. SasuSaku: There was the forehead poke and the "See you soon". This moment wasn't even that important to the plot. I just put it here since it simply served to end part 2 on a good note between Sasuke and Sakura.
That is it. Those were all of the important pairing moments that affected the plot. The rest were either insignificant or were just comedic relief like Hinata's fainting.
As for "The Last", that movie was completely optional to watch. You could just skip over it and not lack any important plot details. It just explained how NaruHina happened and where Hamura and the rest of the Otsutsuki clan went after Hagoromo and Hamura sealed Kaguya.
The novels aren't even canon and those are optional as well.
As for Gaiden, even Gaiden doesn't really deal with the pairings themselves (that is just fans obsessing over it). Gaiden more so deals with Sarada's parentage and back ground mystery. In other words, the real issue that Gaiden is dealing with is:
Who is Sarada's mother and why were there no records of her birth in Konoha? (It is not actually about who does Sasuke love more.)
Therefore I don't see how people are always complaining that pairings ruin things when pairings don't even do that much. 7 important things in 700+ chapters is not a lot.
I skipped this earlier cause I was cooking and this was long but none of that was pairing moments. Except for 7 and the last. The other ones was just moments because they were one sided.

Bold: This part proves my point even further if you're going to say that. If you've truly reduced my list of 7 important pairing moments down to 2 important pairing moments (out of 700+ chapters) then you have just admitted that pairings affected the plot even less than I initially stated. "The Last" was also completely optional as stated before. That brings it down to 1 important pairing moment in the entire series (and that 1 moment was a simple forehead poke)!
Now tell me how 1 forehead poke ruins 700+ chapters!
