Are you more Fight driven or Story driven?

Do you care for the Story more?, for example (Plot, Character development, Character relationships and etc) or do you care for Great fights and action?, I mean you need both for a good story, but this is actually a very controversial topic, i know a guy who wouldn't read this manga i told him about, just because it didn't have any action in it, so what is more important to you?

Story all the way, that's why One Piece is my fav. series of all time lol. Fights is cool but story always triumphs for me.

A mix of both.

There can be animes that they focus a lot of characterization and more in depth with the plot that makes it up for the action.

Higurashi is a perfect example of what i'm talking about.

Dragon ball z is a example of a Action driven story, not saying it didn't have a good plot or no good character development, but most people liked it because of how Action packed it was, with the big power to power attacks and big explosions and etc

Depends on the story, but I've loved more than a few. But the best ones usually mix both, doesn't even have to be super power fighting.

OT: Balance is always good. But story all the way, if the action is bad at least suspense and other elements like that will make it good. Just look at Death Note
