There is obviously a catch to this shiki person's abilities, one that I just don't know about because I haven't seen it, maybe if the movies get a dub i'll watch it.
There IS a catch. I already said what it is in this thread.
The catch with Shiki is the fact that she isn't the one who I'm saying that can kill Gilgamesh. Ryougi Shiki is human and has absolutely no way of doing any kind of universe recreating or anything of the like. She can't keep up with Gilgamesh.
The thing is, however, that Ryougi Shiki was connected to Alaya - the ''Will of the World'' - at some point in KnK which made it possible for [] to exist inside Shiki as the space between her two personalities; her ''third personality''. [] isn't technically Shiki herself. It just lives inside her body and can control it, which makes it a ''third personality''. However, [] is an actual omnipotent existence.
[] - i.e. Shiki's ''third personality'' - is fully capable of killing Gilgamesh.
And the catch comes here. For [] to gain consciousness, it takes a certain ''waking up'' time period so it takes over Shiki's body. My whole ''[] can kill Gilgamesh'' statement comes from the assumption that we just ignore that ''waking up'' period and pit Gilgamesh against [].
Arcueid Brunestud...wait a minute isn't this the main character of the ****ing V/N? Isn't this Shiki?
No. Shiki Tohno and Arcueid Brunestud are different characters.
KnK Shiki which is the one we're talking about is also a completely different character.
