You better hope it's a clean divorce then. You could still end up knowing her if you cause her physical or mental damage, perceived or otherwise. Basically a lawyer just has to prove that you cause her some sort of mental diress. Boom. You owe 50% of your income as alimony. Got kids? Let's call it 65% of your income

People shouldn't look at marriage and prepare for the worst case scenario but work to have a shining example of a loving relationship to set an example to people and their children. If divorce wasn't commoditized through it's ability to evoke popular culture's social taste with celebrity business or it's ability to allow one to get over on another people would see more of the good relationships and try to mimick them
