Why is Sasuke so sad in Gaiden?

What? I got on the bandwagon that he was a good guy or whatever? It's funny, because I disliked his affections for Lilly and his support of Harry; they made no sense. I always loved the guy; spiteful, brilliant, cunning and shady.

Snape was one of the best characters in HP hands down.

He was my favourite. His love for Lily was not properly explained in the books and even less in the movie, so, I never quite grasped that. But the guy died for nothing. That was the worst thing that could happen to anyone, given that that Elder Wand was never his.

Yet another Sasuke fan coming to his defence for a comment I've made. Guess I really can't say anything about the character, even when it's just a harmless joke.

And if your own family and especially children can't put a smile on your face, then that person honestly isn't worth the time and effort.

But then the whole abandonment won't make sense, especially since now we know that he doesn't know about his daughter and according to the spoilers he won't give Sarada any reason for his absence. Maybe she isn't Sakura's child and they never got together? That would make more sense to me, regarding his absence.

@Bold: Wow, you actually make Sasuke seem like much more of an as***** then he could possibly be, just so you can lift the blame off of him.

@Red: You can't applying the logic of a modern globalized society in real life to a manga with old Japanese culture. Sasuke would not mess around with Sakura, after everything they have been through and the way the manga ended (699). If it was with any other girl I would tell you he could be messing around (it would be extremely OOC though), but not her. My guess is that he either never came back to start a relationship, or Kishi just retconed him into not giving a shit about family. Either way his character was tainted in this Gaiden.
